HyperX Blu 1600mhz to 1333mhz - Chew - 2014-01-13

So I have a ram which is 1333mhz.
Thing is a friend gifted me an HyperX Blu and I wanna use it on my computer (as soon as my new hardware arrives).
Now, this new ram is 1600mhz, and I know that when you mix up different rams the fastest one locks down to the slowest. In this case would be 1333mhz.
What I wanna know is if that this ram can downgrade from 1600 to 1333. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I THINK there can be an option in the BIOS to set the frequency for each slot, but that would be reliant on your motherboard and the manufacturer. I believe one of my old motherboards had it.

I konw, but the question is.
Can THAT ram lockdown to 1333mhz?
I don't wanna blow it up Sad .

ram in general should be able to downclock easily

edit: also ram is unlikely to blow up, you'd probably get bad ram overclocks and BSOD if it is unstable. itll only blow up if your dram voltage is raised too high, just keep ram inside of the memory controllers specifications

love my low voltage samsung rams i got for 32$ which retails past 150$ now, paid for 1600mhz ram, running them at 2133. HURRAY FOR SMALL REALTIME PERFORMANCE GAIN
