Aid in 1-2 Pap Runs - ChaosCorpse - 2008-12-21
Basically I'd like someone to assist me in a pap run or two so that I could get used to the bomb animation for later solos. I've made around 6 attempts since lvl 85 either solo or with a 3rd-4th job bowman friend of mine. I can last just fine till bombs come out, but dieing once then having to wait doesn't really help me grasp the pattern as much as being able to tank a hit from them a few times would.
I've pretty much been a soloer the entire time I've spent on maple and my current main since Feb '06 except for the times I spent in KPQ, LPQ, and PPQ. I never had training partners or anything so my buddies were not people that I used simply for Buffs. They were buddies. But the only DK that I knew quit over 8 months ago, so I don't have anyone that I know personally who could help me. To make matters worse, my alliance just fell apart around me so I cannot ask people to ask their friends anymore. Most of my buddies have quit in fact so I am off and on considering quitting myself... but that is another topic entirely.
Anyway, I don't care too much for drops though I would like to have them fairly divided since I am poor. But I really won't stress over the details of that since I don't think 2 pap's drops would help me get out of the hole I am in. I am in no hurry on this so whenever you would normally kill if you just feel like adding me, it would be appreciated. After this however, I will return to my solo ways and won't generally make a good party member. After all, I'm not basing my build on SE since I don't want to be a buff mule to someone; returning the favor, I dislike using people as buff mules as well.
tl;dr I am a lvl 121 Marksman with no SE looking for HB/party for pap.

Thanks, though sorry to say at this point I just went in and tried to learn via solo since I just stopped caring for my exp anymore and I learned a couple of things.
1. My dmg sucks and I can't KB it at all even with the 20 attack hat and 12 att pots.
2. I can jump to avoid bombs sometimes.
3. It is out of my reasonable thought to attempt to solo right now.
Since I don't intend to return to grinding for a while, I won't really be soloing them in truth anytime soon. I suppose if anyone is willing to let me in on a party or two that would not be bad since I could finish my quests... but I can't say how useful I'd be seeing as I'm not a SE provider.
Basically, keep me in mind in the future, but for now, I'd like this thread closed.

There's your problem. Even 1 point in SE will boost your damage A LOT. Why are you even waiting?

A number of reasons really.
1. I'm experimenting with a early snipe build (though in the next 2 lvls I will get 6 points of SE) since I believe at my extremely slow rate of leveling, by the time I get max snipe, there will be some sort of high level mobs that have huge amounts of hp, yet still have our avg hp-exp ratio.
2. Up till now, I was allied with 2 100 person archer guilds. If I absolutely needed SE, I could find it somewhere just as people can find MW elsewhere.
3. I have 500k mesos and I owe someone 6 Mil. I am not married so I can't APQ. I have no decent means for gaining $ since I suck at getting drops. I finished all profitable quests ages ago. I no longer support NEXON so I refuse to buy NX so if I want any of that I have to do it the old fashioned way by selling junk drops that I find for 110 NX each... I can't really afford going far into SE when I get there anyway.
4. As I said above, I'm not going to be an SE mule. Seeing as was allied with archer guilds, I have seen far too many people looking forward to simply helping the bishop they were leeching off of get max dmg on their mobs.
Anyway, it wasn't as if I was waiting anyway. I just got all the other skills for my first 6 points of 4th job; 1 DB, 1 Pierce, 2 Snipe, 1 Expertise, 1 Frostprey. Asides, SE at level 1 for bossing? That seems a bit unreasonable for the timer...
Regardless, I will not be soloing for a while.
