Unfortunately, there's not a lot of Chick-fil-a here in socal. Well at least where I live.

Despite my love of their food, I refuse to eat at Chik-fil-a

Chow Down (at chick-fil-a) - Marksman Bryan - 2013-05-05

I hope that makeup was part of the joke

food is food. i'll eat whatever. as long as the front line service is good, that is.

I ate at chik fil a yesterday =P. Boycotting chik fil a won't change the religious views of the owner anways.

Pretty sure their make-up is just how they dress. they are drag queens after all Tongue

I'm coming at this from the other side of the view spectrum. <Nevermind, I actually watched the video (lol)
So, he has different (oppressive, yes..) views than you. But it's his decision and religious belief and I'm sure there are many other store owners/big names in society that feel the same way or also have different view that just do not share them because of the backlash exemplified so well here. People are going to have different views and I respect him for standing strong and loud by his more than I denounce him for having it.
I support gay marriage, but I will still continue to eat at Chick-fil-a. The food is good, the service is good, the employees are top-notch (my girlfriend just got a job at a new opening Chick-fil-a here, Glitter but aside from her they are all also great and genial), and Chick-fil-a sauce is the best dipping sauce on the planet. His views do not affect how any of that works. I know a point is trying to be made by boycotting and I salute you guys who are, but I personally am fine with eating there, myself.

Indeed, the whole point of the song is "why boycott? it's only chicken"

"doesn't matter if you're gay, chow down at chick-fil-a"

Because f'uck everyone who works there or depends on it to make a living, even if they don't share owner's view.
And the ad is a nice try and a step in the right direction, even if motivated only by money.

This post is even more awesome if you pretend Words' avatar is saying it.

I love how you said all that without even watching the video haha

I couldn't care less about the owners political/religious/etc. views, but the drag queens themselves are enough to do the job.

Chick-fil-a is disgusting anyway. Ever heard of Raising Cane's? They make the best fried chicken in the world.

Chow Down (at chick-fil-a) - Razmos - 2013-05-05

Even though this thread was made in light hearted fun because the song is hilarious, I'm gonna throw in my 2 cents here:

Who is the righteous one: a single person who expresses their views, but happens to be the head of a corporation, or a person who boycotts a company for that said reason and makes the company fall on hard times, affecting the entire staff and ordinary people who need the money to get by.

Most people working at fast food restaurants barely get enough to scrape by, and I think boycotting the restaurant and affecting those people is wrong. It's not like the entire chain of restaurants shares the view of that one person.

boycotting it, even for the best of intentions seems pretty close-minded and dumb.

Trannies are not a valid ad campaign to me.

Who said this was an ad campaign? what the hell?
You think Chick-fil-a would have an ad campaign full of sex jokes? This is simply comedy, no more and no less.

And i'm not sure of your use of the word "trannies"

It would be awesome if they did lol.

It seemed like they were advertising some point about chick-fil-a, though I only watched the first 30 seconds before I decided I'd rather not keep watching some faux-homos with a bad sense of humour sing and dance about something I've barely heard of.

Long story short: people boycotted chick-fil-a because one of the people in charge expressed hateful views about gay people.

The song is a comedic reference to this

It's hardly bad sense of humour simply because you don't understand it.
