Bigfoot leech - Worthyness - 2008-12-17 Can someone (anyone) explain how Bigfoot leeching actually works for someone level 26? I know it requires a Powerguard mule, but what does that actually do? And from one suicide run, how much exp does a typical leecher get really? Is it in the thousands or is it in the hundred thousands? If a pg mule were to slam a Bigfoot (or any other mini boss monster with lots of exp) at level 31 (level 1 pg), 11% return damage doesn't seem like much at all. How can doing 1500 damage maybe give so much exp? So if anyone could clear this up jst a bit i would greatly appreciate it. Oh and if this type of thread is not allowed, by all means lock and close =) Bigfoot leech - JoeTang - 2008-12-17 http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=855 Quote:Leech conditions: Only one of the following must be met in order to share a cut of party EXP Bigfoot leech - Dusk - 2008-12-17 The leecher would only get a little exp at level 26, but even a tiny fraction of 2.6 million exp is enough to make a level 26 level. The PG mule exists simply to make the level 26 qualify for leech exp. The exp becomes divided between the 3 characters - the level 31 PG mule, the character killing Bigfoot, and the level 26. Bigfoot leeching at higher levels is much simpler. Ranged classes can hit Bigfoot, so the exp is only divided between two people, not three. Usually what happens with a lvl 31 pg mule is: Attker is killing bf. When attker knows that there is <10 minutes left for the bf, the pg mule is "pg'd" into the bf. PG 100% hits every monster in the game. (right?) It deals damage relative to the damage taken by the pger. The pg mule will die. If the pg mule is left in the map, and the pg mule is in the party, then the lvl 26 person will leach. This will give the lvl 26 199.99% simply killing a ghost will lvl you. Bigfoot leech - Stereo - 2008-12-18 Yes, PG can hit any monster that does more than 2 damage. Actual EXP (assuming level 31 PG + level 170 NL selling) @ 26 = 350000 exp (more than enough for 2 levels) so you'll end up leveling up once and then gaining 1 less than the amount of exp needed to level up again. Toss in an 8x Priest with max HS and it goes to 400000 exp. Goes almost linearly with level, at level 60 in the same parties you'd be getting 700,000 or 830,000 exp (still enough to level up once? Close anyway). Bigfoot leech - IllegallySane - 2009-02-18 If the PG mule is just floating there, will the dead mule still get EXP? :f6: Bigfoot leech - bored4ever86 - 2009-02-18 IllegallySane Wrote:If the PG mule is just floating there, will the dead mule still get EXP? :f6: no, dead chars don't get exp even if they did 99.99% of the dmg though they do work as qualifiers (in this case to make the lvl 26 gain leech status) Bigfoot leech - ♥Ji - 2009-02-18 so technically the pg mule could just hit bf once, then cc rather than die? it would be a lot more convenient than walking all the way back, even if you had no exp to lose. i have never seen the map if it's not possible to cc (in which case never mind) Bigfoot leech - TomasLuther - 2009-02-18 It is posible to cc, but it's also posible that the 11k touch dmg kills the pg mule in 1 hit... Bigfoot leech - ♥Ji - 2009-02-18 TomasLuther Wrote:It is posible to cc, but it's also posible that the 11k touch dmg kills the pg mule in 1 hit...oh, yes, that is far more likely. unless pg mule is a lv42+ perfect hp fighter. but then leecher would have to be lv37+. and at this point most people would still be saying "hp warriors suck go make a real character" so wouldn't be very enjoyable anyway. dying sounds more convenient offtopic: bf + lv42-5+ hp fighter would be some fantastic healing for a lucky cleric there Bigfoot leech - BasilBasil - 2009-06-21 Uh, I'm making a PG Mule soon to level myself faster XD. I have the funds for pots and equips and everything, my question is: PG mules can only have 35 str, 4 dex and the rest in HP? Also, If there is 10 mins left to kill BF and you've only done about 20k dmg on him, will he still die at 10 mins? Please and Thank You. :f6:

That's preferable, it's easiest to leave the mule there floating, because if it survived, it would leech to, and perhaps level before the level 26 character, making the 26 get nothing. ♥Ji Wrote:oh, yes, that is far more likely. unless pg mule is a lv42+ perfect hp fighter. but then leecher would have to be lv37+. and at this point most people would still be saying "hp warriors suck go make a real character" so wouldn't be very enjoyable anyway. dying sounds more convenient That would be great healing, but there would be no way to keep Bigfoot pinned, it could just run over the cleric at any time. What they were referring to is having an attacker...attack it, and when they know it will take less than ten minutes to finish it off, i.e. take it's hp to 0 and kill it, they have the pg mule suicide on the Bigfoot, and float there until it's dead. Ten minutes is important because you'll auto-spawn at the Mansion after that.[/COLOR] Bigfoot leech - modular - 2009-06-21 imo, if you have nonleeching hs, headless horseman leeching is better for 26~3x because you gain over 100% for those lvls from hh anyways and the extra ~700k exp you would get from a bf goes to waste when you hit the 199.99% limit. |
