[release] APQ blacklist checker - Spaz - 2008-12-15 I found the time to implement one of my ideas from this thread and wrote a program to check if someone is on your APQ blacklist. What you do is keep a file on your computer called blacklist.txt with a blacklist of people known to steal apples or engage in otherwise bad behavior. Such a list is maintained for Scania both on sleepywood and here on southperry. Before you run Maple, start up the program. When you're in game and want to check if they're on your blacklist, right-click their name, click the "save name" option, and then press ctrl+9. A sound will play indicating whether or not they are on the blacklist. When you want to turn it off, just close the program's window. This is not an online database. The blacklist is stored locally on your computer. It is your responsibility to have the names in it you want to check against. This will not get you banned. It uses the same mechanism as media players that have global hotkeys for adjusting volume and skipping songs. It uses the clipboard, which is accessible to all applications. I made this because 1) I find this much more convenient then alt-tabbing or having windowed mode and having a blacklist open. 2) To learn a bit about win32 programming. It seems that APQ blacklist is a Scania thing, so I guess only Scanians would get any use out of this. download Current Scania blacklist from Sleepywood in the format usable by the program source code More information is in the README.txt. Don't ask questions about how to use it if you haven't read the readme. Dunno if anyone would even find this useful, but I made it, I'm using it, and it's here if anyone else finds it useful.
