"I chose to be gay" - Razmos - 2013-03-29

Quote:I liked dressing up. I got erections when I thought about naked men. By cross-referencing these details with a number of different lifestyle choices, I came up with two options. I could either be a gay man or a Catholic priest. It was a tricky decision but in the end, I settled for option 1.
Satire at it's very best

My aunt is heterosexual and can't have children.

Should she be allowed to be married?

No, because she can't procreate and therefore the union does not benefit the human race!

Yet she is legally married and nobody sees it as weird.

And it's not the only case. Religion just makes up stupid excuses for stupid arguments that shouldn't even have to exist on the first place.

Well, it's less that they make them up, and more that they let their crazy reasoning (because seriously, every religion looks strange if you're not a practitioner) affect those who don't practice their religion. Considering the US has been around for a good 250 years, we really should have actually implemented the whole "separation of church (beliefs) and state" thing by now.

Ya' know, people choose to be assholes but nobody complains when they get married.

I feel it's sort of relevant.

You know, I would probably chose to be gay if I could. All the gay people I've known are hilarious, fun, and degrees of magnitude more fashionable.

I can already picture your wish coming true as gay, boring, and unfashionable.
