The purpose of Communication? - Chompy - 2013-02-27
Someone once said to me on a thread, "If you're going to continue posting just for the sake of posting you're going to have privileges revoked."
We usually assume that communication serves the purpose of directing an idea or meaning to one another, but does that meaning have to have meaning? Is it still communication when the sender is sending into a void just for their own entertainment and for no tangible purpose of relaying a definitive message to others? Or is that intent of self-amusement in itself the amusing message sent to others?
