Normalizing data to 100% using excel - Alex123123 - 2013-02-05 Gah, I don't even know if this qualifies as intelligent conversation but I need help. Honestly, I have no idea how to normalize a data set I have on excel. The sums of the components gives me a total of 97.3%, but I need all of the values to scale to 100% (or so I believe it's what is asking me to do). I've been reading about this on google but nothing can get through to me. -_-; The simpler the better. I just can't get along with excel and its shenanigans. All you really want to do is make them add up to 100%? Then multiply all the values by 100/97.3. Then they will have to add up to (roughly) 100% Normalizing data to 100% using excel - Alex123123 - 2013-02-06 I did not explain the problem clearly. My problem was that I didn't know how to perform the operation in excel (I barely know how to use the program). Someone taught me tho, after I went through the data set manually. -_-; Thanks for taking the time to reply though. |
