VMWare Problem - Bribery - 2008-12-10

I recently got VMWare 6.5 and I'm having trouble running two Maples simultaneously. I can run it on the client and host separately but not at the same time.

If I have Maple open on the client and I try to start it on the host, I get this error:

Then if I attempt to start the VM again, or if I have Maple open on the host before starting the VM, I get this error:

Computer specs:
OS: Vista 32 bit, SP1
RAM: 2GB
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo CPU T5450 @ 1.66 GHz 1.67 GHz

I'm using Windows XP on the VM.

Here are my VM configurations:

Anyone have any ideas on what's causing the problem?

Was maple on both the client and host installed from the installer? Or did you copy and paste the maple folder to the VM.

Installer. I downloaded Maple from the Nexon site on the client.

A google search: A required privilege is not held by the client

Did you try any of this yet?

I don't think that article was about VMware. I couldn't find a lot of those options. :f6:

I think that applied to the scripts it talked about, so you might try to modify settings on maplestory.exe. Were any of the other results useful at all?

I could be wrong but I think gameguard on your host computer is blocking the client.

I used to be able to run two instances of maple until one day, GG updated and blocked it completely. I got those same errors.

Boo I was hoping that wasn't the case. Anyone else having this problem?

My main MS sometimes crashes when VMWare is running but I've never gotten errors and it always runs fine if I try again.

I'm using XP though.

Maybe it's a Vista related issue then. My host MS never crashes but the client always does. I managed to keep both logged in for about a minute before the same errors popped up.

It IS a Vista related issue. Once I downgraded to XP Pro sp3, vmware works flawlessly, you may want to do the same.

*shrug* I get the same internal monitor error, and I use xp. I get the same error regardless of which one I start first, though.

Edit: I got some unrecoverable error just now, when I had host MS running first...
