Log in from noon to midnight on Saturday, December 29 (12 PM to 11:59 PM Pacific) and Sunday, December 30 (12 PM to 11:59 PM Pacific) and click the gift box icon on the left side of your game window to receive some powerful items to help you through Tempest! Epic Potential Scroll 100\%, Tempest's Special Awakening Stamp and 20x Tempest Coins will be given out on Saturday, and Advanced Equip Enhancement Scroll, Chaos Scroll of Goodness 50\%, Special Awakening Stamp and 20x Tempest Coins will be handed out on Sunday!
Your character must be Lv.13 or above to accept the free items. If you are logged in before noon, or you reach level 13 during the event period, you must relog into MapleStory to claim your gifts.
You can only get these items once on your account, so choose carefully! However, you can accept each day's items on different characters. For example, on Saturday your Dark Knight can receive the Epic Special Potential Scroll 100\%, and on Sunday your Demon Slayer can claim the Chaos Scroll of Goodness 50\%!
You have a 100\% chance to receive the following items on Saturday ONLY:
Epic Potential Scroll 100\%
Has a 100\% chance to add Epic Potential to a regular equipment item.
Untradeable.Special Awakening Stamp
Has 100\% to add Bonus Potential to an item already with Potential.

Randomly reconfigures all of the stats on your items, but unlike most Chaos scrolls, it will not decrease stats!

Enhances fully upgraded equipment (where upgrade slots = 0) by increasing stats. Success rate starts at 100\% for 0 current enhancements, and goes down given the number of enhancements your equipment currently has. The minimum success rate is 10\% when the item has 10 stars.

Life isn't fair, the vast majority of the people probably don't even care about the 100K NX prize they probably are only aiming for the goodies such as epic potential scrolls/adv carver slots and coins.

As long as the account is made before the day rolls over to the 29th/30th, yes, it will be eligible. Just have to get a character to level 13. (Stupid easy with a luminous.)

I have to wonder whether, in our collective greed, we're not going to cause Nexon to go back to the horrible Hot Time (one minute) model.
On the one hand, surely they can't intend for everyone to have hundreds of mules carrying these coveted scrolls?
On the other hand, they could easily have restricted the event to accounts created before Tempest patch, or characters over 60, or even more creative ideas such as "accounts that have logged a total of at least 10 hours of play". And aren't they the ones that simplified Eurek's requirements for the Legendary Spirit scrolling skill, to make it easy to use scrolls on mules? (But, then, they also took away both Duey and dual-logging, making it much harder to transfer your items to your mules on different accounts, unless you have two computers)
On the third hand, it's not like these things are "costing" Nexon anything. In fact, the more people add potential and bonus potential to their gear, the more they will Cube. The more AEE and PChaos they will have, the more cash shop scrolling-protection items they will buy (as soon as those items come back on sale, that is *foot tapping impatiently*).
