Since rickroll is becoming popular on this forum, i'll teach you guys how to make the computer show the lyric of never gonna give you up, 1 line at a time, when the computer starts up.

here's what you do:
open up notepad, type (or copy/paste)in the following:

press save as, name it rickroll.bat (or any other name but must end with .bat)
wait, don't press save yet!
where it says "save as type" select "all files"
now press save.

Now when u click on the rickroll.bat file, the lyric will pop up one at a time, making you have to press ok 42 times before it ends.

to make this msg pop up when computer starts. Go to start, all programs, startup, open up start up and copy this file into it.

best to be done in school computers XD

actually the thing is with school computer they blocked out all the rickroll websites....

but if u really want to, u don't even have to make a text version of rickroll and do the real thing:

go to a real rickroll site, save it as a shortcut, and put it into the startup folder.

I don't see why not. They're fun to use.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work.
I tried doing it, but all I see happening is CMD popping up, rolling the lyrics pretty quickly, then auto-closing.
The lyrics don't pop up in the window unless I click on it.

1) Is there any way to hide CMD when it's running the code?
2) Is there any way to make the lyrics pop up upon startup. =/

Rickrolls can become out of hand if used too much...

Somebody seeing a rickroll usually results in himself doing another. EXAMPLE: I saw Road's thread, and followed the prank. I got a deserved warning, and yet made a thread about rickrolls practically borderline.

And, after seeing those two threads, I suppose you made this one.

After a month worth of chain reactions, expect a Rick Astley image instead of the "Southperry supah kawai" we have up there.

If you make a new shortcut on your desktop, make the destination on the first page of shortcut wizard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSsJ19sy3JI and put press next then next then finish and drag that shortcut to startup and itll come up with the video at startup
