About autopotting and different pets - Muppy - 2012-09-14 I've always used Kinos as my pets and their autopotting timing was always good enough to keep me alive during some stupid computer freezes and such. However, I've noticed that when using my mech's Baby Tiger, it was a whole other story. It doesn't seem to autopot as regularly as my Kinos do (and I'm not even taking into account the freezes) and it has cost me some % not once or twice but quite a handful of times already, whereas none of my Kinos have ever failed on me. Am I just imagining things or different pets do have different autopotting timings? Or maybe this is something that affects mechs specifically? About autopotting and different pets - CarrionCrow - 2012-09-14 My guess would be that it has something to do with classes and skills and not the actual pet itself. Unless Nexon is even stupider than I give them credit for, the code for auto-pot is linked to the equip (Auto-HP Pouch), not the pet. And even if it is per pet, it would be copy-pasted. However, auto-pot is known to fail when you are potting manually, buffing, or looting. It might be that Mechanics' skills/summons/mount/etc interfere with auto-pot relatively frequently. About autopotting and different pets - Muppy - 2012-09-14 Yeah, that makes sense now. Maybe it's probably just Satellite, Satellite Safety or the different modes that keep eating up MP continuously. ![]() Thanks for the answers
About autopotting and different pets - 66alex66 - 2012-09-16 afaik you can set when the pet auto pots with that alert thing in your menu, might be that it's too low? About autopotting and different pets - MyTwoCents - 2012-09-16 I notice that if you set the bar on one character it changes on all my other characters. I died many times switching because my warrior's auto pot was set to low for the more squishy classes. Pretty sure system settings are saved via the client (i.e. like a .ini file in your maplestory folder). Also, login info and the last char you logged in on for an account. Also, login info and the last char you logged in on for an account. Yeah. Which is stupid. I mean, some system settings make sense to be saved per computer: sound and graphic preferences. But things like the threshold at which your HP and MP bars start blinking (and auto-pot kicks in) should be character-specific and saved with the character info in the server. About autopotting and different pets - LittlePrincess - 2012-09-17 I've noticed that some pets seem to carry on and do their job while you feed them, but others experience some sort of lag and have to get over being fed. So for example the perma white tiger I have will keep moving and pick up loot or pot when I feed him, but the a lot of the other pets stop and seem to forget what they are doing when you feed them and have to start all over. I have a perma white tiger with autohp and autobuff and this never happens to me. I think it only affect looting if I remember back to 2008 when i last bought an item pouch... About autopotting and different pets - Chilly - 2012-09-17 This probably has little to do with the White Tiger since I know it doesn't have any expressions, but I remember in the past, pets like the Dragon or Robo would go off and dance or practice kungfu and end up not potting. For fear of that, I stuck with a basic pet. Plus, Pandas are best. It might be that Mechanics' skills/summons/mount/etc interfere with auto-pot relatively frequently. This sounds about right. Mechs get a buttload of abilities to activate all the time, so it's quite easy to miss a pot. On my own Mech I use auto-pot more as a contingency button rather than relying on it. About autopotting and different pets - Locked - 2012-09-19 They don't use a .ini file, they use the registry. That's why your settings work for all versions of the game, kMS, jMS, gMS. A .ini file would be beyond stupid for this. It's a question of if they have a 'feeding' animation or not. White Tiger doesn't, so it just keeps moving. |
