Depends on what they mean by being good at maplestory. I could level to 200 in 2 days without doing glitched maps/botting. If their computer or whatever thinks that hackers are the only who can level that fast, then it'd ban me.

I farm ores at the Crown-Flyer, since it's a small map it takes less than 10 seconds to locate the purple/black vein. Because of this, I can change channels pretty quickly and sometimes while changing channels I get disconnected and then find out I've been ban for 24 hours. I don't live in the US so the server lag is something I'm used by now.

Assuming a computer would keep track of length on map, some actions (i.e attacks). without the human/visual element could just be mistaken for someone grinding legitimately.
