News broke that RiotNasus has left Riot a few days ago.

Truth that I know of right now: RiotNasus (Nasus) has left Riot Games (he "said" it was "on his own accord").

There were rumors that he was fired because he violated NDA (non-disclosure agreement), supposedly about PFE. But that's just rumors, not truth.

Whatever the reason Nasus left Riot is unclear right now. I don't even know why he did this (or something else happened that I do not know about yet). And whatever the outcome was in the end (whether if he actually left on his own free will or was fired for violating NDA), I will still remain neutral on my opinions.

But what concerns me is the flurry of activity on his Twitter account tonight.

These ain't pretty, and if those are posted by him....he needs to seek help ASAP. Consoling your sorrows by drinking away isn't the way to go. :\

If what he said is indeed true (not supposed to talk about PFE even after info is released), man that really sucks for him. :\

I'm going to go out on a limb and safely say that he probably wasn't allowed to talk about PFE - even after the video was released - in order to prevent misinformation from being spread in the first place (likely one of the many NDA provisions he had to agree to and was legally bound to it).

It's kind of extreme though, what exactly could he have said about it? it's only a skin and doesn't change gameplay at all. If the video was already released then he wasn't even talking about information which people didn't already know.

A warning maybe, but being fired?

Also his attitude is a bit annoying. I know he's hurting over losing his job but he needs to get a grip.

Statement from Serif via Reddit regarding the nature of his departure

Riot and I have parted ways, this is correct.

I have made many lifelong friends at Riot and it has been pure magic watching and contributing to a game that has gone from a hobby to a sport more popular than baseball (all over the course of 2 years). I have grown a tremendous amount personally and professionally not just from working at Riot, but by being a part of and watching the League of Legends community swell. I'm sure I will collaborate and work with at least some of the incredibly talented and intelligent people Riot has managed to amass at some point in the future as well as the friends and players that I met along the way (Heck, I met my s/o through League of Legends .

We have parted on very friendly terms. Maybe I'll write a nice blog on it sometime in the future, but for now, rest assured I will still be playing League of Legends and possibly even streaming again (Ranked Yi, awwww yeahh!) after I catch my breath.

For the time being, I'm enjoying the time off, working on music (stay tuned - electronic), and playing Diablauction House... Err... Diablo 3 (Battletag= Serif#1785).

Per the comment on me deleting my Twitter, I actually just changed my Twitter account name to @JustSerif as it seemed no longer appropriate to fly under the "RiotSerif" flag given the circumstances. Feel free to follow or PM me anytime.
