God damn, I've been reading about this for 4 hours. It's 4am now. I need to go to sleep.

Here's the 299/300 chapter spoilers.

Basically, it says that Kafuka was dead all along. She died in a car accident. She was an organ donor and here organs got into the 17 girls, which attempted suicide once. There's also some stuff about Showa era ghosts who also attempted suicide living in them and giving them a will to live or something like that. When one girl wears Kafuka's hairpin, she acts like her and the others who also got Kafuka's organs see her as Kafuka.

And this was all planned since the beginning.
Her name (Anne of Green Gables = Akage no An/赤毛のアン (Akagi An)) was in the very first chapter.
A tail besides her name, implying she's on Abiru's body.
Go watch the OPs/EDs, too. It will blow your mind.

We always knew there was something about her, i mean at one point she teleported into the classroom using a demonic hell portal.

Holy pomegranatettt thats creepy.

And i completely forgot that Abiru's eye made her see the Donor's past life. Never would have guessed that it was Kafuka's eye.

And that episode where she appeared with bandages on her wrists for no apparent reason and nobody mentioned it. Yeah. i totally forgot how creepy this series was.

I found this part especially interesting:
After they went to the hot springs to purify themselves of all evil and toxins and whatnot, Kafuka disappeared.

Now that the ending clarified things, i do remember that one girl always seemed to be missing every episode when i watched it. It all makes sense now.

Hahaha, the things you can't do being an adult.

Really, really gonna miss this. Although the very first page says that the last volume won't have an anime adaptation, I hope Shaft can give the -monogatari series and Madoka a break to finish SZS someday.

Looking forward to Joshiraku, I hope it's also good.

I just started reading it, it's pretty funny. One of the girls is kind of like Chiri too.
