default image viewers wont work right with .gif images - Mute - 2012-04-08
I've noticed this while I was out to sea, and I'm absolutely blown away by it. (sidenote, it only makes me wonder just how big a POS this new laptop is) The default image viewing programs that came with this junker won't display any .gif images that have multiple frames with the motion, instead all I get is a single frame, and nothing else.
whadafuq might me causing this?

Windows Photo Viewer does not display animated gifs. My default for those is my browser.
