Dear Maplers,
MapleStory is up again, however, the stability issues from this week are very complicated and there is a possibility of us facing another series of crashes. We are working on a compensation plan, which will be announced when all details are decided and when we assure that the servers are stable.
We sincerely apologize that we were unable to resolve these issues quickly and within a specific timeframe, and we are working hard to make sure that all of these issues are fully resolved.
Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve these issues in order to provide you with a stable gameplay experience.

Ironically, I'll end up doing that if the game stays stable. Getting rings on all of them.
As for their admitting it may not be solved: it's better than to say "all good now" and have the crashes return, as they did before. Better to appear too weak to defeat it, than too dumb to know you haven't won.

They only said the issues are "very complicated".
DDoS is certainly a very complicated issue to deal with...

Not massively complicated, I really don't think this is a DDoS attack. I'm glad they've put up a notice about this though, didn't think they realised how a few words can help.
