Was it White Scrolls or the position of scrolls in the inventory or some such? I would like to not repeat the crap that destroyed my shoulder pads this time.

the position of dark scrolls in the same use slot as the wards were in the cs slot.
Just to be safe, make sure there are no scrolls in the use slot in the same position as the ward slot.
