So for the area under the line y = 2 (for the integration of 2) from 1 to 5 should be 8 units^2, but adding on the integration of 8f(x) results in 6, so the curve 8f(x) from 1 to 5 must have "negative" area under the curve, in this case -2, divide -2 by 8 and you get -0.25
