Two questions;
Cannoner, how do their initial job advances work? For instance, could I make an adventurer beginner into a 1st job pirate, and just level the crap out of it until the 6th and then turn it into a cannoneer? Could I make a UA into one? Does it matter if I choose the Pirate UA if I do?
Battlemage, with Elemental Staff weapons does the 75% damage on off-element attacks affect a BaM at all, since they're not tied to any element?

So cannoneer have their own startpoint then, like legend classes all are, instead of being grouped with any other class? Dang.

That's what I thought, can't you make a DB out of a regular 1st job thief? Made mine with a nexon event so it didn't start at level 1, but I thought they acted as a new branch that you could turn to at level 20 as a regular thief.
