(dunno if this is the right section or not, mods feel free to move or what have you)
In the majority of stories that deal with time travel, the people only end up in the horrible future(s) by accident or after making some terrible choice. Ok, its neat that we can visit that time line and all but it is not such a great place.
The music is depressing and everything is in ruins but arriving so far into a bad ending, I would think that there is not a whole lot that maplers would be able to change. (If anyone has a copy of the quest text that would be good, I dont know the exact specifics of the plot and could be completely wrong in my opinion here)
Maybe if it were a part of a branching path to a super happy ending or the deciding moment in some huge battle, but why would anyone want to travel to an apocalyptic wasteland on purpose? At least with Neo Tokyo there is a sliver of hope and at the end of it, things are somewhat better than before. By time travel logic, future Henyses just does not make sense..
