Mawaru Penguindrum Thread (Spoilers) - yoosergio - 2011-10-22

About time we had this. This anime is so open to discussion and predictions, it needs its own thread.
Episode 15 now! Just 9 episodes left, and still there's so much we don't know.

As I said on the "Currently Airing Anime" Thread:

Momoka appeared! It seems Ringo didn't get raped... can't say otherwise for Yuri, poor girl. But was she really raped or just physical abused?
AND... THE FIRE POWER! Seems like it's the price you pay for changing destiny. Though, Ringo didn't seem to be suffering when bursting to flames in the first opening. Talking about openings, NEW OPENING! The beginning seemed pretty re-used from the first one, but afterwards it gets better. Though, I liked the first one more.

At the end of the new opening, both Shoma and Himari run straight forward, while Kamba takes a diagonal route. What could that mean?
Then, Esmeralda (Masako Natsume's penguin), appears besides Kanba's penguin... Will Kamba join Masako?

Ringo's fire power is in the second opening again, but I'm not sure of her expression afterwards.

At the end, there's an apple and a bear where I suppose Himari should be, between Shoma and Kamba.

I've just noticed that in the first opening Masako is using a gun, while in the actual show she uses a slingshot-like device. strange.

You're right! Maybe she'll get more aggressive later? And I just noticed the bear from OP 2 is there on Himari's bed on the first one.

As i said in the currently airing anime thread:
Not sure if anyone else picked up on this, but the man who Kanba works for that he met on the train is Masako's father, Tabuki implying that this man is also Kanba's father suggests that they are half-brother and sister, which explains why Masako also has a penguin, and explaining why Mario is somehow involved with the spirit in the hat. Curious.

Also from looking at the second opening.. Masako has a gun in that one too Tongue

Tabuki and Yuri are so not FABULOUS MAX. What they are doing is totally wrong and payback isn't what Momoka would want i'm guessing.

I know I'm late to the party, but this was indeed one of the funniest things to have happened in this anime. They seem to have developed an idiom for each character and play on it pretty hard.

Anyone else also love what the penguins did during the preview in episode 17? Where the penguin dropped his porn book, and the cliche "Did you drop this silver Porno, or this golden Porno?" thing from RPGs happened. That was also great.

I like this anime alot, but its kinda confusing at times.

Havent watched the final ep yet, but i dont really understand most of what the story is ment to be lol.
