Laptop not picking up its own wifi - Piggy 2.0 - 2011-10-17 Recently, I downgraded from Windows 7 back to XP, due to technical issues which are a whole other monster by themselves. Shortly after I booted up my laptop after re-installing XP, I couldn't see the wifi connection button/symbol. It doesn't show up in Device Manager either. I know the wifi card is there, but I have no idea why its not picking up the hardware. For now, the only way I can get online is to find a hardline location. I'm missing a ton of drivers as well, so I'm going to look for the laptop installation CD ( or whatever its called) in hopes that it has whatever is missing. In the mean time, is there anything else I can try to get my laptop to recognize the Bluetooth/wifi card? If your laptop came with windows 7...idk if you have a good chance at finding xp drivers. |
