Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Onion Knight - 2011-10-08 I have no experience whatsoever with PvP past the constant hearsay that says it blows goats. Which of the following characters would be most ideal for getting Gallant Emblems: - 176 Battlemage - 137 Corsair - 124 BM - 137 Bishop (Adv. Bless maxed first) - 120 Blaze Wizard None of the characters are even remotely well equipped. Thank you in advance. Edit: As an aside, how would a 168 Shadower fare in PvP? He is my blacksmith at the moment and I might require them in the future. Again, he has virtually no equips. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Marksman Bryan - 2011-10-08 Equips don't matter in PvP. BaMs are pretty good at PvP from what I've experienced. I don't know much about classes in PvP, though :x Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Phoenix Wright - 2011-10-08 I see White Knights, Chief Bandits and Priests do very well. I've only tried to pvp on my 3rd job Crusader, so I can't say much in terms of 4th job. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Aggravate - 2011-10-08 Your BaM would be perfect. Shadower is a very good second although he has no equips. The rest wouldn't fare that well in my opinion since their skills aren't maxed yet. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Netto - 2011-10-08 I can get between 300 ~ 400 points per PQ as a bishop. Not too good compared to, say, a shadower. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Onion Knight - 2011-10-20 After actually trying a few of these out, of all my characters that I've tried the one that is best at PvP is the one I chose to get level 10 Herbalism on, my I/L. Pulled anywhere from 600-1000 points on it. Battlemage had promise, but couldn't get more than 400 points in a round on it. Shadower...I found myself overrun very easily on this. I was either lagging or Assaulter sucked. Even with Bsteps iframes I died very quickly. Couldn't manage more than lol100 points a round. Noteable opponents, kept being beaten by NLs (shadow web, avenger) and Heros (this particular one was a UA, monster magnet, rush overrode slow/freeze, brandish, soul driver) for some reason. Can't tell if I just suck at PvP or not, but this is what I've found. L> Professions revamp so I don't have to choose. >_> Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Riukuzaki - 2011-10-20 Demon Slayr Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - XTOTHEL - 2011-10-20 ~1000 points per PQ as a bishop. I think if you get familiar with the class of your choice (ie, what skills to use against who) you'll do better. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Stereo - 2011-10-20 Genesis 1hkoing most classes when you get the attack buff is a good source of points too, since you get like 40 per kill. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Eliseo - 2011-10-20 I get 6k score, 6xx Battle Points with my Arch Mage (Fire,Poison) at Trade Wins in PVP. And I am good at "asking" people that interrupt the TW to leave. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Exidous - 2011-10-20 The nerve of some people, allowing the random matchmaker to interrupt your farming. Nexon really needs to merge PVP for all servers, so people cant pick their matches. Add an inferior mode with reduced BP rewards where people can pick their opponents, so you sadsacks still have something to do and those of us who want to PVP can - with appropriate rewards. To the OP, I do fine with both bam and bishop, but bam is probably better for your maximum bp gain. Especially since you aren't likely to have max infinity yet, which is a big part of leveraging bishops for bp. It puts me in the same empty room 20 times in a row. I know there are people PvPing, because on the 21st try, it puts me into the room they're all in. Plus, I was just playing against them the previous round. I wish they hadn't half-assed the signup process. It wouldn't have taken that much more code to create a list of available games, requiring a password or free to join (plus a 'join random' button) when you click the NPC. Kinda like every other competitive game has had since the 90s. Haven't PVP'd on my DrK so I don't know how much damage Roar does. I don't have the resources to arrange TWs so I'm just doing the 1000 FFA points & 5 FFA rounds quests daily. 15 days per equip is pretty bad (1hr per day, though if I get 1k points on the first round I just afk the others), but it's better than not getting them at all. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Ninjaman43 - 2011-10-22 Well any mage would do fine, CB is beast at PvP,Crusader do very well,NL maybe if know how to use it, and last pirate do well Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Exidous - 2011-10-22 ShinkuDragon Wrote:yes, the nerve, after i go through all the trouble of finding friends willing to help me, usually 3 or more, to try to obtain equips from a mode that sucks so bad nobody wants to play, and after i go through all this trouble, a selfish a-hole comes in and starts killing the people I assembled (not the machine, ME) just so i could get the points. That's like complaining that someone wanted to train during 2x in the map you're botting in. You're taking up space to the detriment of the way the mode was designed and to other players. I understand if you find actual pvp somehow inadequate for your equip farming desires, but that doesn't make it open season on occupying the round for your own exploitation and thinking its okay to refuse other people entry. But the way it was designed, these schemes are only possible if you fill a round yourself (you and 7 mules) or if you play in a sufficiently empty server. The problem takes care of itself when enough people pvp, which is why I suggested combining the different servers, so the pool is always big enough to prevent private rounds, or even all your mules getting into the same round. Then if you want pvp rewards, you may have to actually play against other players... Stereo Wrote:The random matchmaker is so awful, though. It puts me in the same empty room 20 times in a row. I know there are people PvPing, because on the 21st try, it puts me into the room they're all in. Plus, I was just playing against them the previous round. That's the tradeoff of the system they chose. Near as I can tell, it opens room 1, adds till full, then starts with room 2. It seems to rotate which map is first or second, but for a time the ordering sticks. The reason why you'd keep going into an empty room is simple: eight people including you played last round, nine want to play now, you were the unlucky one out. They could've chosen to add players till a satisfaction level, and then start the next room, but I imagine people would complain even more in uncrowded servers if five were playing a round and you, #6 at the time, kept getting sent into an empty room instead of the five person room. Kinda like every other competitive game has had since the 90s.If it was merely a competitive mode on the side with no incentives, sure why not make it easy to play exactly as you want. But as long as there are rewards (let alone exclusive rewards) people are going to try to game the system - to the detriment of other players. I loved CPQ in the early days before it became TW or free wins only. It was actual, decently balanced competitive play in this game, that was something. Nexon probably realized the only way players could morph that into a 100% grinding non-competitive mind numbingly boring mode was because they could pick rounds. I think PVP was designed with that in mind, the only thing holding it back now is the low number of players. People really need to step back and think why they play these damn games if they just want to reduce everything to mindless grinding or farming. Ideal PvP class for farming emblems. - Stereo - 2011-10-22 Hurr, just found out a fast way to farm the 5-games quest. 4 people join an empty room, 1 leaves - 3 get a round completion. Takes about 30 seconds, so in 2 1/2 minutes you get 1 gallant emblem on 3 characters. |
