Battlefield 3 and the GTX 540M - Tristan - 2011-09-29 Click here for my laptop. The nVidia website says my GPU doesn't meet the recommended requirements for Battlefield 3. My GPU is the GTX 540m, and the recommended is the 560m. I don't play at crazy high resolutions, only 1366 x 768. What would be a good estimate on what settings I could play at? I was thinking medium to high. I don't need AA Or Aniscropic Filtering or any of that jizz. It's just an added bonus really. Battlefield 3 and the GTX 540M - Sn1perJohnE - 2011-09-30 It should play it on medium graphic settings. Battlefield 3 and the GTX 540M - HybridStigmata - 2011-09-30 Your CPU's definitely up for it. Like above, i'd estimate medium. Battlefield 3 and the GTX 540M - Corn - 2011-09-30 Um, can't you set B3 settings to "auto?" Add ClawofBeta (or...SniperCorn) sometime. Battlefield 3 and the GTX 540M - Devil - 2011-09-30 Just test it what runs best: In Windows: - Use the most simple improvements --> 16x anisotropic filtering (hardly impacts fps these days). --> 16x CSAA (not 16x QCSAA) which is a new technique by nvidia and hardly impacts on fps. --> Rest of driver settings on performance and enable all optimizations. In Game: - Always use your native screen resolution -> Rest of in-game on lowest quality possible --> Test it, if it runs ok (30fps+) then try a little higher settings, step by step, also only use settings you really want. Battlefield 3 and the GTX 540M - xLeviathan - 2011-09-30 Recommended 560M...wow...wtp. That's already top-of-the-line. Nuts. |
