Dear Maplers,

Great news! Prepaid card buyers in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will now receive more NX with each purchase of Nexon Game Cards and Karma Koins. This change is a service we are able to provide as part of the rollout of Karma Koins. The new amounts more accurately reflect prices players are paying for game cards due to differences in exchange rates, and we are happy to offer this additional benefit for our international players!

Note: This change applies only to NX purchased through Nexon Game Cards and Karma Koins.

All dollar figures denote local currency values.

FAQ

1. When does this go into effect?

This change is effective immediately.

2. When redeemed, will previously purchased cards be automatically honored at the new exchange rate?

All cards that are redeemed from this point on will receive the new rates, regardless of when the card was purchased.

3. Why is this change happening now?

Nexon Game Cards and the technology that support it were designed exclusively for the U.S. market. As prepaid cards became available to an international audience, we recognized the need for a system that is flexible enough to support multiple currencies. The introduction of Karma Koin represents this new flexible system.

4. Does this change affect any other type of NX, such as that purchased through credit cards or via PayPal?

No. This change only applies to NX redeemed from Nexon Game Cards and Karma Koins.

Okay guise.

So what's the point of buying cards when you can just buy NX at a 1:1000 ratio through PayByCash and other payment methods, again? :f6:

You can?
I can't.
Only PayByCash method left working for my country is Western Union, which charges a fixed $15 fee per transaction. Yes. I buy $30 worth of NX, I pay $45. Which is then converted to local currency at the worst possible rate.
Of course this annoucement doesn't resolve my problem either, but oh well.

It's about time they did this, in Canada we've had to pay a dollar more for every 5k NX for years now.

$10 NZD = $7.70 USD
$25 NZD = $19.24 USD
$50 NZD = $38.48 USD

I'm paying less for NX than you are.

Regardless of the actual payment options available, you should also have an option which allows you to "log-in" with your UltimatePay account in the payment window.

If you make an account on UltimatePay's website and click on "Buy uPoints" on top, you'll be able to buy points which you can then use for the NX payment through PayPal or direct credit card transaction. After buying and receiving them, just go back on the NX payment window and click on the log-in option on top. Log-in with your UltimatePay account, et voilĂ , it'll ask you if you want to use UltimatePoints for the transaction. I also have the option to use PlaySpan's Ultimate Game Cards, the codes of which you can buy online through credit card/PayPal, but I guess the payments methods vary from country to country.

All this at a 1:1000 ratio. I found it pretty funny considering it's still charging NX through Credit Card, but indirectly. If you do it directly from Nexon's website, they'll give you NX Credit, but if you do it indirectly you get NX Prepaid. Obviously the second choice is the best one, even if it takes slightly longer (and it's also the ONLY one for those who had their direct credit card payment options blocked from the Nexon site like me for some strange reason).
