Did they change the 1st line of potentials so that they're extremely better or something?
He resmega'd it and it was 48% avoid on 1st line still epic

It's a visual bug carried over from Tespia. Supposed to be STR: +14, since, you know, the gloves are lvl 140.
Also, 56% Avoid = +56 avoid = (140/2.5)

While it is indeed impossible for unique to have those raw stats addition, I've seen cases where the whole rare/epic/unique ranking gets messed up by the visual glitch. I'd very much like to think that that pendant is not actually Unique and only looks like it does because of the misleading stats (which is what happened to my equips), but I think that pendant really is Unique (judging by the first line). The visual glitch probably applies to the latter 2 lines.
