Actually, I need to stop thinking of G+ as facebook. Now imma create a circle and put them in it, and never share anything with that circle.

Nevermind about that, I cant find a way to set who of my circles sees my posts, as I would like to keep the posts public, but I am not sure if choosing not to post to their circle would prevent them seeing it if it is also a public post.

The prime reason social media exists is because multinationals want to profile the shiet out of everyone in the world, store it, sell it, use it to get wealthier themselves. They don't care about you or your private life.

And the problem is, once you're inside their system, you can never get out... ever...

That's why it's freaking me out, all those people giving their personal info for free to companies who's only aim is to make craploads of money, and not safeguarding your personal info you gave to them.

Just don't freak out when you see your private information in some random database somewhere in 6 years from now, free to download for anyone, coming from that database leak from facebook back in 2014...

But ok, if this idea makes you a happier person, I'm happy for you! Smile

Why don't you just not accept your family members? Problem solved. Back when I used facebook my entire family was trying to add me and I declined them and if any of them asked why I would simply answer "You're not my friend; you're my family. My business is not yours. It's not personal; I don't even tell my dad where I go at night--why the hell would I want every member of the family knowing who I may or may not be sleeping with?"
