Since there seems to be no KMST patch that hasn't been accounted for, then either this patch is largely empty or it's a surprise.

Most likely a bugfix patch. The size is too small to be anything but a bugfix patch.

Not always, but yeah mostly bugfix becauseof the size and not because it was not tested before.

it took a while for the patcher to install the new files, especially character, map, mob and skill.
I wonder what an extraction will bring, assuming Fiel finds it worth it.

Character, Map, Mob, and Skill are also the biggest files, Imitazion. It would make sense that those took the longest.
