Has anyone recently gone back and played a classic or old game?

By "old" I mean, a game on any system that's not the Wii / 360 / PS3 / 3DS / PSP / DS
Or, if you consider old.. then so be it..

I've been playing Pokemon Blue, Fire Emblem GBA, Kingdom Hearts PS2, anddd Harvest Moon on the GameCube..

Having fun Biggrin

How bout you guys/girls? Cool

I touched upon Banjo-Tooie and BoF 2 while moving my stuff earlier. Playing BT made me regret selling Banjo Kazooie, but still not willing to pay more than I sold it for to get it back. I catch myself playing Terranigma and Secret of Mana 2 every so often as well. More to the point; I almost never keep up with my new games instead opting to go back and play the older ones.

And this got me thinking. I know it'd be half dead like the market system is/(was?), but at the rate we pop out nostalgia threads both here and in maple general, there should probably be a sub-section for it.

Found Sonic R for PC again, man does it take me way back, and the soundtrack is as awesome as ever! Tails is made of Hacks in that game, I just fly over every obstacle.

Nah, nostalgia is pretty much all of life post-high school unless you're out there climbing mountains. We spend roughly sixteen years experiencing new and fun things and the other 84 looking back on them fondly.

I recently installed a Virtual Machine running 32 bit Windows XP just so I could play the Zoombinis again (It's a 16 bit program and I'm only running x64 machines)

Star Wars Battlefront for xbox by Lucasarts.

Such awesome game, with such an awesome sequel.

I'm waiting for the next generation sequel I will never see getting released.

I (re)-play graphics adventures all the time. I'm a nostalgia gamer for PCs all the frigging time.

Always.

N64 and PS2 are always hooked up. Also got my Wii modded to play all the classic systems. Feels good, man.

I play Super Mario World every now and then and, because Virtual Console is stupid and lacks it in their store, went and played Star Fox (for SNES) on an emulator a few days ago. Also replayed Paper Mario 64 for the fifth time last month, played SM64 and recently beat SMB3 (the NES version) again a few weeks ago. If I can get my N64 to work again, I'd be playing the aforementioned N64 games on there instead...

And if Gamecube counts (sure does to me), I started on Paper Mario: TTYD a few days ago as well and am going to finish up Super Mario Sunshine soon.

As you can see, I have a long lasting relationship with my old Mario games.

My life basically consists of me clinging to my SNES childhood. SMW, SMRPG, DKC, etc..., and I love them so. I can't get enough of it.
