What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Link - 2011-08-22 I'm in a guild with a lot of good people. I'm the 2nd most point contributor to the guild as well, but the only high level people are Dennis, a Shadower and myself. I just got invited to another guild by a friend of mine which is a high level guild (all characters in it are 160+) which could get me into bosses and whatnot possibly. Guild for friends with good people or Guild with my friend, plus people who I've chatted with before that are high levels that can possibly get me into bosses and possibly into LHC groups? For gameplay wise, the second sounds better, but for friends, my current guild seems good. I'll also feel bad about leaving my current guild. ;w; What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Jon - 2011-08-22 Whichever one's best for you getting further in Maple is the one I vote for. What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Kalovale - 2011-08-22 Makes me miss my old guild. They sucked back then, but everyone loved one another. Or join the new guild and leave your alts in the other guild. What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Link - 2011-08-22 JoeTang Wrote:Aren't you a Buccaneer? Yes. :< What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Fiel - 2011-08-22 I really couldn't tell you. Maplestory is a game of entertainment. If playing with friends is more fun, then stay. If getting more powerful and bossing is fun, then go. Maplestory is a massive timesink. At least spend it in a place where the entertainment value is worth it. If you do decide to jump ship, it's far better to remain interested in the game than be unhappy where you are. It might be worth it to sit down and evaluate what you want from Maplestory then pound the hell out of your goals. This may come across as a selfish way of thinking, but when it comes to a pure entertainment platform it's hard to be too selfish. What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Shidoshi - 2011-08-22 Can't you try and get the two guilds allied? Or get the organizers of that other guild in your buddy list and have them call you when they organize a run. What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - street - 2011-08-22 Do you really have to leave your guild to boss with others? I never understand the whole mind set that everyone that boss has to be in the same guild. Stay in your current guild and boss with the other people. Just because you are in the guild does not mean they will warm up to you and bring you on boss runs. Add them on bl instead. In my opinion Changing guilds wont change their mind about bringing you to boss runs. If they dont want to take you now how is changing guilds going to be any different? Unless they have a rule that all 160+ are invited to boss then i can see the reason to jump ship, but you should be able to boss without changing guilds. In windia guilds that revolved around just bossing such as 1337,glory,list goes on and on. When they stop bossing they all start to fade away What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Link - 2011-08-22 It's not really that I have to be in their guild to boss, it's more like I have more of a chance of going to bosses by meeting the people in their guild. I can't exactly make friends with people I don't know exist. xD What do? ;w; (MapleStory question not really fit for the MapleStory section) - Takebacker - 2011-08-22 JoeTang Wrote:Aren't you a Buccaneer? Lol'd. @street: bossing with different people increases information leaks, where in GMS can lead to the run failing before it begins. Probably not at all relevant for JMS but it makes more sense to have your friends on your BL. They won't care if you leave when you barely do anything with them anyway. Justin's online interactions with strangers is serious business. If he dies in MapleStory, he dies in real life. It almost sounds like it's a privilege killing 2D pixel bosses these days... but then again... maybe those other people "invested" 2000 dollars or more in a 2D pixel game so they"re "better" and more "honorable" then your friends? Do you really want to abandon them for that? Just join that other guild with another char, chat with them so you know who they are, and run with them on your "main". Never abandon your friends for money... that's how I see it... It's that the others aren't high enough leveled to go to the bosses. That has nothing to do with money. And even -if- you would join that other guild, it's not like they're going to cygnus run every day (which would become boring anyway). Just to go on a Horntail run every now and then would be nice. I can't lead anyone to success at any boss simply because I'm a Viper who hasn't spend money on this game to become "the one and only all powerful god of Maple." |
