Google redirect malware? - Baklava - 2011-08-17

I've had this thing where clicking on a link any Google redirects it to some weird advertisement page, and I'd have copy and paste the link at the bottom just to access the page.

Spybot doesn't detect anything, ad-aware doesn't detect anything, neither does a simple virus scan. I'm not sure what's going on here, but does anyone know the problem?

I've tried searching for solutions myself but all I've come up with is that other people have the problem and they can't figure it out either.

What browser are you using? I suggest running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and/or SUPERAntiSpyware in Safe Mode with Networking first.

I had the same issue a while back while running Firefox. Run Malwarebytes and check your browser extensions. Malwarebytes got a lot of stuff, but it missed a Firefox addon called XULCache.
