Auto-pot, am I doing it wrong? - Satellite - 2011-08-10

Because 30% of the time my pet doesn't use any pot at the point that I set hp alert for in system settings.

I have a feeling that I got scammed out of 1.8k nx, because I seem to die more with auto-pot than without it.

Auto-pot doesn't activate when you couldn't use a potion yourself, for example: right after using buffs, after using a potion, after changing equipment, after teleporting, after FJing, etc. Basically after you do anything that requires a response from the server, normally attacks don't require a response from the server.

Auto-pot also doesn't activate when you're manually looting.

It is sort of a scam imo. With that being said, you will get used to when auto works and when it does not. When this happens you will find it usefull. Untill you get used to it I would set your when to pot % high (pot burn) so you don't die.

Good luck

My auto-pot works out well, though I have my HP one set to about 50%. Maybe the kinds of pot you use don't give back enough HP relative to the damage you're taking? For example, I have about 1600HP at the moment and the auto-pots I have set are the ones that give me 1000HP each time. I keep the smaller sized pots on my quick keys to manually refill when I remember. It does go through more pots that usual but it keeps me alive.

Yes, that's an important point.
Your pet will never double-pot.
Therefore, if you are using Unagis, but your enemies hit 1500, eventually your HP will drop under the threshold you set, and stay there even after the auto-pot. Once that happens, auto-pot will not be triggered at the next hit, and you will eventually die if you don't manually pot to get back above the threshold again.

I have my autopot set to a little below where it would heal full HP (use Honsters, so stays the same), and I don't usually have problems with it. I like auto-MP much more, however.
