PS3 PSP remasters considered - Flonne - 2011-08-10 http://www.siliconera.com/2011/08/09/nippon-ichi-looking-into-psp-to-playstation-3-remastered-games/ While is seems that Sony has already decided this is a bad idea for some godawful reason that only Sony will ever understand (or not), it's still a great idea. I would buy 10 copies of La Pucelle Ragnarok PS3 if I had to. And we all know how persistent people can get about things not happening (Legends 3 group is huge now even though they've told them twice that it's not gonna happen, and it's still getting bigger). Hopefully that 200+ page request thread on the NIS forums will convince them that it is a good idea, but convincing Sony that something is a good idea is like convincing Namco that porting certain things is a good idea. PS3 PSP remasters considered - Eliseo - 2011-08-10 Or telling Capcom that a remastered version of RE 1, 2 and 3 is needed. Sony will NEVER make it. I know of no company that has ever made what the public wanted (In the videogames world). PS3 PSP remasters considered - Hakurei - 2011-08-10 I've been wanting a La Pucelle Ragnarok localization for a while now too. NIS seems hesitant on releasing PSP games in the west, so I hope PS3 remasters might get them to change their minds a bit, especially since I'm interested in a few of those Imagepoch titles. A Valkyria Chronicles 3 remaster would be nice too, since Sega said they don't have any plans on releasing titles if they're on the PSP PS3 PSP remasters considered - Flonne - 2011-08-10 I'm actually unable to find any official proof of Sony refusing to do this other than a couple forum posts from a few hours after this announcement, anyone have any official response links? I would really like to believe it's just people making things up, but it really sounds like Sony... PS3 PSP remasters considered - Hakurei - 2011-08-10 It really does sound like Sony, but I won't believe it until I have solid proof. I wish they'd lighten up on some things besides this though, especially the whole VNs aren't games thing, I'll never see White Album or Im@s 2 in America ._. They don't even have to dub it, because 100% of the people that buy it will not use the dub in the first place. also http://www.siliconera.com/2011/06/24/nis-america-president-on-vita-support-and-hd-remakes/ it's a response from the CEO of the company though, so I would take any "technical details" from a suit with a huge grain of salt. aha, I found that article those forum posts were quoting. http://www.siliconera.com/2011/06/29/z-h-p-unlosing-ranger-vs-darkdeath-evilman-could-have-been-for-ps3-in-north-america/ They were quoting it out of context; they were not referring to the remaster editions in that press release, only the original versions were denied. So technically, unless I am missing something, there is no proof that Sony has said they won't take the remastered versions of these NIS PSP games. |
