Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - misc86 - 2011-08-09 I loaded the details and it only gives me my m.attack range, how do I determine how much m.attack I actually have? I am trying to perform a sensitivity of how INT impacts my m.attack and have been finding it quite difficult to do so. thanks! Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - sufian - 2011-08-09 Count it all up from equips and Blessing. Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - misc86 - 2011-08-09 does INT not contribute to m.attack tho? How would you count INT into total magic attack when looking at equips? Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - Takebacker - 2011-08-09 INT = int. M.att = m.att. It's the same as every other class now. Damage formulas were changed. INT and Magic Attack for a mage works the same way as STR and Weapon Attack for a warrior. How much your INT gives depends on your quantity of Magic Attack and vice-versa. Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - Thorr - 2011-08-09 Yeah, do the math. Or just wear it. The formula for your range is widely published, but I will post it yet again... (4*INT + LUK) * (MA/100) Plug in your numbers and solve away using your super duper algebra skills that you thought you would never use in the real world. Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - misc86 - 2011-08-09 so this is my formula: =((4*939)+57)*(216/100) =8236 I have total: MA: 216 INT: 939 (base is 803) LUK: 57 How does the 8.2K score impact my damage? In finding out what the difference would be for equips? I mean if the 8236 rose to 8300 vs. 8280, what difference does it make for damage output? Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - Five Second Pose - 2011-08-09 I'm no expert, but I'm guessing higher is better. Before any defense/weakness/crit/etc modifications. Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - misc86 - 2011-08-10 I just did some quick calcs: I have a pair of +9INT/15MA Earrings. If I take those off for a pure %INT pair of earrings, I would need 10.6% INT (85INT) to make up for the 15MA lost (i have already factored in the 9 INT lost). Which means at my level I need 5.6INT for 1 MA? Does that sound right? Post BB - how to check how much m.attack I have? - Thorr - 2011-08-10 misc86 Wrote:I just did some quick calcs: Take your INT and divide it by your MA. That's your Ratio. In your case, with the numbers inyour original post, your ratio is 4.34. Thus, you need to add 4.34 INT in order to have the same damage effect as adding 1 MA. Sinec you are proposing to reduce your MA, you have to change your ratio. Removing the 9/15 earring means that your ratio goes to 4.62. If you use a pure % earring with no INT/MA scrolled onto it, that earring will need to add 9 + (15 * 4.62) INT (about 78 INT total) in order to be EQUAL to your other earring. A 3% earring will add 28 (given total int of 930). You will need a minimum of a 9% INT earring in order to start being better than the 9INT/15MA earring you have currently. Personally, I would just keep the 9/15 earring you have and cube it for %INT, especially if it is a tier 3 earring. Then you get the best of both.
