It doesn't really matter. By the time the animation is finished for the rushing skill, the monsters will be in your face, so you can attack without worrying about not having them in your face soon enough. It never really bothered me when playing.

The rush just occurs at the last portion of the delay, they still end up in the correct position after the 900ms. You have invincibility frames during the whole attack as well, and a little bit after you can move.

Still think it would be annoying... when Rush fails I can tell right away and I am ready to move back to mob, or if it works I can continue to attack. Will have to try it out in gameplay though.
