Weight-lifting, tons of exercise, and Carbo.. carbo what?! Oh, and leg-stuff! Jajaja! - Kawasari Mimoto - 2008-10-23

Warning: Title is very misleading, jajaja!

Anyways, so I'm currently working-out, a lot. Usual is around 2 hours a day after work, I am at college from 11 AM - 4 PM on most days (Mon-Thurs), I have work EVERY weekday from 5 PM until 10 PM. So I get home, I take off my weight-shackles that I tie onto my legs, and find out that I can jump and move a lot faster, and it feels pineappleing great!

Then I start listening to music, and working-out for about 2 hours. This means I go to sleep around midnight or 1 AM every night, fun, eh? Friday - Sundays, I work sometimes, but they're usually night-shifts, so I've been trying to find time to lift and exercise as often as possible.

I've been lifting dumbbells (10 lbs each), doing a ton of crunches (correctly too, at that!), yada yada yada. So uhm, here's my question. I heard you're supposed to eat the RIGHT types of food. Like what?

I'm going to guess a lot of meat and noodles? <_< What kind of noodles? I've been buying cheap noodles (not instant noodles), and cooking them when I get home after work, and eat, then work-out, etc.

Currently, I am working out on my:

-Abs (25% of the time)
-Arms (50% of the time)
-Chest (25% of the time)

Situation #2, I'm not doing leg-workouts until later on, since I find it annoying to JOG. So I end up having really heavy weights attached to my legs most of the time (4 lbs each at the moment).

My one friend irl said that he had his on for about half a year (not 24/7, of course!), and his legs are incredibly defined.. He had his on a lot, at work, at home, etc. He only took them off to take a shower or sleep...

So I've been doing the same. Yet, an online friend of mine says that's only for increasing your leg speed at running, I get different inputs and opinions, but I wonder if having weights strapped to my legs the majority of the time will "define" my legs after a long while. I'd prefer this over jogging if it works.

EDIT: My girlfriend has seen the 'results' of my current work-out, and she is obsessed with staring at me now. I notice she keeps staring at my abs and arms.. and pecs. >_> Currently look like:

Yeah, washboard abs, I know, f7.

I believe that leg weights add muscle mass. I can tell you that you dont need weights if you want defined instead of huge legs. Try doing aerobic and endurance exercises to define your legs, heavy weight lifts only make your legs more bulky.

Stop training an hour before you go to bed. Makes your sleep rhythm more stable.

Your doing quite well by the way it looks in your pictures and in your details.

Right foods to eat: Meat will probably be your main meal to eat. You look pretty skinny as is so put some fat on you lol.

now im not sure about this but - if you want to build big muscles and all that, you should do weight lifting exercises during the afternoon (or is it noon?) and when you finish you should eat meat/fish (my friend eats canned tuna).

My friend uses weights strapped on his legs and he runs.. He's pretty fast and his legs are hella strong. He said when you take them off, it feels like you're helllaaa faster haha. The only leg work outs I've tried is deadlift and squats.. Dunno about what food to eat. Meat I guess?

Back when I used to skateboard, I wanted to get some leg weights....... but I was to lazy Redface. I'd like to get some ankle and wrist weights to wear everywhere. Whats the heaviest of each you can get???? Without them being to huge lol.

As heavy as mine can get, it's 10 pounds PER leg, and 10 lbs PER wrist. So that's an extra added 40 lbs, if I choose to go up to THAT much. >_>;

When I played Ice Hockey, my coach would make us wear these vests with 6 pockets and two, five pound bars in each pocket, and make us run up 2 miles and jog back.

It really, really worked me out to the extreme. I mean running around with 60 pounds is pretty tough, but it sure helps.

Try to find one at a sports store near you, it'll help.

Well, depends. I might think about it, I want to see how it'll help me though. Because that's something that seems more fit for a Karate class or for Marathon-runners than for fitness. xP For the legs, I can understand. Same for wrists.

Currently, I am doing plenty of ab-workouts, heh. As for those who suggested me to eat plenty of meat, I already do that. Here's the thing, I have an overly high metabolism, regardless of how much I eat, I rarely gain any pounds. =/ It's been this way since.. I was young, currently around 117 lbs.

Haha same.. I'm 15 and I weigh 114.
How much can you currently bench?

I have an extremely high metabolism, sucks. But yeah that thing just mainly works your shoulders, deltoids, and legs. If you want abs, sit-ups are your best friends.

Higher metabolism means you're more healthy Tongue.

I haven't benched in a while, last I could bench was probably somewhere between 50-70 lbs? I could be wrong, haven't benched since Sophomore year of High School, and that was.. 4 years ago.

Yeah, I know, but it's supposed to be more healthy.
