Mages in PvP - iamflip - 2011-07-22 So warriors have their high HP, DBs have their high mobility, and Mechs have their... siege tanks. So what do we have besides Magic Guard that can help us excel in PvP? For some of you that have excelled in PvP, how do you guys do it, and how against certain classes/situations? Especially the high leveled bishops... I'd like to know how you guys managed to rack up those points so easily. xd Mages in PvP - xLeviathan - 2011-07-22 I'd like to hear from some WH who actually like to PvP enough to figure out how to do it. 'Cause I can't. We suck. ![]() ...But really. I'm wondering about the Bishops, too. The I/L and F/P I've faced weren't great but apparently people on here say otherwise. Mages in PvP - aslemn - 2011-07-22 >Buffs >Infinity >Run away, come back and attack, run away, come back when people are with low health >Do it until Infinity reaches it's 80% bonus damage >All hits are "Excelent" >1HKO everyone with a multi-hit mob attack Profit. :> Mages in PvP - ShinkuDragon - 2011-07-22 infinity+big bang=rape. teleport for both mindgames and lolololcan'tcatchme. Mages in PvP - Green4Ever - 2011-07-22 Seal and Slow are things to factor in as well. Jump down into a mob of enemies and cast them both and they're all sitting ducks. Paralyze helps keeps enemies still, too. Mages in PvP - Chilly - 2011-07-23 To be honest, while MG can be considered a "big deal," a few matches ago I found myself completely dispelled and I hadn't even realized it. I'd say a minute or so had gone by without noticing, all whilst ducking and weaving against opponents. When I did look up and notice, I was pleasantly surprised I hadn't died. Since it only moves 35% damage to MP it's not nearly as instant death as Magic Crashers would make you believe. Teleporting back and forth in front and behind your opponent is an excellent way to evade their attacks. In my experience, it'll take them at least 2 of their own attacks to catch on that you are behind them, less of course if there is less lag. Know your map, Ultimates take ages to cast, leaving you vulnerable to all sorts of bombardment. Often, there is somewhere you can sit to stay out of direct fire where you can essentially snipe masses of your opponents. For that reason, the volcano is always my map of choice, less horizontal snipe spots for Mechs and other projectile flingers, plenty of death-from-above-from-below vertical snipe spots. Mages in PvP - iFrancisco - 2011-07-23 For Bishops: Doom! It is so freaking annoying since it turns the opponent into a snail for what seems an eternity while you rack up points on their slow-moving, non-attacking bodies. That may be for proficient MCers like yourself, but I'd say 60%~75% of Warriors, even when effectively MCing and Magneting don't do it well enough or have enough damage to escape the Dance of the Magician as outlined above. In the 25%~40% where I'm near death, in about 5%~10% a second dance can usually get me out of there, the Singular Direction Dance of Escape. I will agree that, in a mob, there is a high likelihood that MCing will result in a momentary death, but 1-on-1, I probably have a good chance of escape or beautiful swirling death dealing. Luckily, we don't play in the same server. Mages in PvP - Netto - 2011-07-23 I freakin' HATE Paralyze after my most recent PvP match. I'm a sitting duck in the middle of a gang of people. Them trying to kill you sucks. Especially when you're the champion at the time. I need to SP Reset SOMETHING so I can get my Doom to max >_> Cuz this is ridiculous. Dispel doesn't help me at ALL with BaMs (I thought it could dispel the tornado...) Would Doom dispel it? Mages in PvP - iamflip - 2011-07-23 Ok, so I have 6 spare SP because I can't find/pass AR30. Should I spend them on BB or Infinity or Mana Reflect, or a mixture for PvP? Mind that I have 20 on AR, 10 on Bahamut, one on Gen, one on Res, and maxed Buff Mastery.
