Zakum not attacking? - Ricepigeon - 2011-07-22
So I went a zak run the other day and everything was going fine until all of the arms were killed. At that point, Zakum would stop attacking. He would still use Cancel Weapon/Magic defense and summon, but wouldn't use anything else including his 1/1. This lasted for all three bodies. Is this normal or a glitch (reason I'm concerned is because I also got a helm from that run so I'm worried I might be banned for glitch abuse).

It's not a glitch, and even if it was (auto aggro glitch a few months ago), you can't be banned for it.

So wait, you're saying Zakum got nerfed to the point where he pretty much doesn't fight back at all? Talk about a let-down after wanting to fight the guy for 4 years.

Its just that I was expecting Zakum's bodies to attack more often instead of simply just summoning and buffing himself.

OT: same with czak, but czak does even less (no summons, no 1/1, only one seduce when I went). I think HT might be boinked as well.
Point of the matter is, zakum isn't a very hard boss anymore. The only thing you have to worry about is the body's touch damage and getting hit by a summon after a 1/1. Those are literally the only things.

I'm not going to derail this thread any further. Players/equipments changing doesn't change the fight itself. It only makes it faster.

Zakum only attacks when he's not under heavy fire now. So yeah, weapon defense is the only peaceful moment for him.

I take it three attackers (originally went with 5) is enough to intimidate him in that case. Oh well, guess the wait was worth it after all.

The problem is the bosses aren't doing anything at all They just sit there and let you kill them.

Try to do Ani. With so many people attacking, he doesn't even summon, seduce, or buff anymore.

Is indeed nerfed or glitched, you can "knock back" zakum with only two attackers making him unable to cast any attack, is so easy not that is not even fun.

This is a bug. If you solo, the bosses do not act in this fashion.
