Upon the release of PVP later this month, should we anticipate any GM vs. Players events in PVP?

I mean, come on. If Combat Arms get to fight with GMs, we should be able to as well Big Grin

PVP - Fiel - 2011-07-10

I'd fight them as long as they don't get to wear their GM hat. Chin

PVP - Sorien - 2011-07-10

To be honest, I'm having a hard time believing that GMs still log on. So no, I don't think that we should anticipate any GM vs. Player events.

PVP - Solarboy - 2011-07-11

Probably not, they could just spam dragon roar and win instantly.

Now take those Combat Arms GMs and give them 95% damage reduction armour and one-hit kill, perfect accuracy, no reload time LAWs. That's basically what you're suggesting.

PVP - Retalion - 2011-07-11

That wouldn't be any competition. I dont think the GMs stand a chance, with the level of intelligence they give off when they show themselves in game. They'd probably have worse gameplay skills than the noobs that leeched their character to 160 at skeles, and those guys REALLY suck.

They'd probably have worse control than this guy, and I'd never seen ANYONE that bad >_> Seriously...who gets to 18x and doesnt know how to puppet pap?

This isn't Blizzard we're talking about, right?

PVP - Liteness - 2011-07-11

obviously hackers would win anyone, even GMs

PVP - soren5556 - 2011-07-11

I doubt it'll happen but its always a thought

it would be pretty cool for GM's to go "undercover" in PVP, but who are we kidding.

PVP - Locked - 2011-07-11

I don't get this crap about GMs not working..
You guys see all those permaban notices? Those are manual bans since Nexon's autoban system never permabans. That's a lot of bans and work, so I don't get what you guys are trying to say.

This. Even with those GM hats, I don't think they could actually put a fight. They haven't exactly shown themselves to be "good" at Maple.

I'm trying to say that watching a GM play a shadower and flash jumping into walls, or attacking air because the person they were trying to attack had gotten out of their range 5 seconds ago would be funny. I never said GMs didnt do anything. I just said that at times, they're not very good at playing their own game, or understanding the mechanics behind it (The new arrow rain/arrow eruption is just an aesthetic change; nothing about the skill has changed at all...haha, yeah right).

PVP - Des - 2011-07-11

wait did you say gm? GM??? GM????
didnt they die years ago ? :f6:

and now more serious, even tho it could be fun most ppl would rage at them for not doin their job (maybe thats why they hiding lol) , beside playing both combat arms and ms and i gotta say that ca gms aren't perfect but at least they exist so i dont think you can compare those 2 :].
but yeaaaaaaah id like to kick some gm asses.

I do see those notices, do you see the names in them? 99% are fm mule spammers for meso selling sites. Yeah, real lotta hard work put in there. Not to mention duplicates of names.

When I see half a dozen 150 Battlemages as they prepare to hop back into a mini-dungeon just by ccing through a Magatia map, there's something wrong.

Those lists look huge, but, on a relative scale, it's nothing.
It's also non-descript. We have no way of knowing whether the person was banned for hacking or if they were just a meso-seller bot.

Why aren't GMs hopping in popular botting maps and auto-banning some asses?
Why can meso sellers smega all freak'n day when, in any game with active mods, they would be perma'd right after the first ad?
How are meso sellers able to have bots sit all day spamming in plain view?

All they would need is one employee per server to be clocked in to sweep the hot spots.
One.
Evidence shows that they don't even have that.

On the contrary, if you stayed around where the bots are spamming, you'd notice they're banned pretty much every few minutes. This means someone is there actively banning them. It's just so easy to make new accounts and new chars that there's a new bot there spamming again.

I can confirm this isn't true in 3 servers that I've played in.

PVP - JPTheMonkey - 2011-07-11

I am sitting right now in a Scarecrow map on my Aran watching a hacker warp around the map (They ksed me, so I just hopped on a rope and went to do other things). They have been cycling channels making sure no one can train at scarecrows all while gloating about their training speed. It's the same guy as I saw yesterday.
