Out of curiosity, how much money do you guys make on a weekly basis? - Kawasari Mimoto - 2008-10-19

Out of curiosity, of course. Also, please tell me how many hours you work, what you do at your work, and whether it's part-time or full-time. This is something for me to survey, and for myself to figure out some things.

If you want to know, I work part-time, 20 hours a week on a regular basis. I work at Dollar Tree, as a cashier. 3-4 days a week, depending. Weekly, about 140-ish dollars (not subtracting tax). Monthly, I make about 568 a month (not subtracting tax).

Uhm, even though I am 14, I have a small part time job watching my neighbors dogs whenever they go away for trips.

I charge 10 dollars a day and I usually get about 400-500 dollars a month if things go well.

:O

College student, and an art college student at that.
So, somewhere in the negatives.

Roughly 850 after tax... First full-time regular "career" job and I'm currently underpaid since I got the title/duties promotion but not the $$ to go with it so I'm still paid as someone that's only 1 notch above entry-level.

Probably leaving the place in about a year if it doesn't go under before then (lol Nortel). They build network elements and I try to break them. Currently working on an optical product designed to be the backbone in a metro area.

Lol. I have a seasonal job YAY. During the summer i average about 15 hours which is 120-10 dollars in SS, Income, and State tax. Its gay how even though I'm fourteen i pay for Social Security in a job I will have for around 4 years. Dam u government. But i do get jipped. I'm the lowest on the chain atm as a dishwasher in a golf course restaurant. But, during the winter we still host banquets and that = money. But the banquets are for 200people+ which means lots of dishes which means no down time. Waiting patiently for banquet promotion so I make dishes and don't clean them......

Btw salary= 7.40/hour
And in Michigan 14 year olds can only work 18hours a week dam

I work part-time behind the desk at my Campus Computer Center. Required training was around half a year on really basic stuff like: internet connectivity (iPv4, iPv6, DHCP), using command prompt, recognizing basic return commands, connecting on Macs, how to work hardware printers, and so forth. Three week hazing process where 3/4 of the other applicants quit. I work nine hours a week which is on the short side because I wasn't initially hired as a permanent staff member and get paid around $80 a week with a check.

I'm trying to take on a research job next semester or do an internship which will be 16 hours a week (at least) in addition to hopefully a permanent 15 hour Computer shift. I get to study on my shift as long as I put the customer's trouble-shooting problems ahead of time and do all the necessary chores (cleaning computers, changing ink/paper, and answering any questions I can.)

I enjoy drinking water because I'm centered on the belief that my brain is an organic substance that needs hydration in order to process really hard concepts. I also have body temperature that is just a few degrees above normal. Therefore I drink around two to three gallons of water a day. Around 2/10 of my weekly paycheck goes there. The other 4/10 is for eating out because I have a reduced meal plan. And the other 4/10 I save in a locked container that I hide in my room so I can pay off my own college term bill.

During the fall, winter and spring I lose money each day because I'm in university doing pre-med. During the summer, I work at a steel mill. I make $24.24/hour first 8 hours, 36.36 for the next two hours and anything after that is 48.48 an hour. I've made as much as $2000 per week, but the employment only lasts as long as there is work, so I generally get laid off after that. Rest of the time I work as a baker, making about $270/week with deductions.

About $15 a week.

This is because I don't actually have a job, and not because I work in a sweatshop.

Little over $500 a week. Which has been steadily declining thanks to this shitty economy.

After taxes, I make about $200~$250 working 4 days a week.

I am a supervisor at a retail store in a tourist area in San Francisco... meaning we sell a lot of souvenir crap like SF tees, sweatshirts, shotglasses, etc. as well as brand names.

Surprisingly though, our business hasn't suffered nearly as much as others in the city due to our tourist customer. Because the dollar is so weak now, there have been a ton of European customers recently who spend a buttload buying Levi's (which we also carry) since apparently in Europe a pair of Levi's jeans cost upward of $100. Crazy.
