Gamasutra Wrote: This Week In Korean Online Gaming News: From Sudden Attack To New Bills - maplefreak26 - 2011-06-24 They had a HUGE conflict over the game from what I heard. Nexon was like, WE AIN'T GONNA CO-PUBLISH, WE TAKE ALL MAN. CJ (the developers): No, this is out biggest game, we are NOT gonna give it away. Netmarble (Sudden Attack's Publishers): Just turn it in. Nexon and CJ kept going back and forth. Nexon then made a event called Move Quickly, it was to make screenshots of your items and equips and they will add it into their database. CJ then disabled the screenshot feature. Nexon then made their 3rd party screenshot program for Sudden Attack (but I thought Nexon was against 3rd party programs) CJ then patched it. But everytime they patched it, they keep on developing a new version. CJ decided that they will co-publish the game. Nexon then agreed, Nexon Korea will release their version of the game on July 17th or something/ This Week In Korean Online Gaming News: From Sudden Attack To New Bills - iRyahn - 2011-06-24 Gamasutra Wrote:Korea's Ministry of Gender Equality and Family has submitted a bill that, if passed, would require children aged 15 and younger to receive approval from their parents before playing online games. Haha how useless. Not that hard to fake an age when registering but hey, maybe there is some really honest and stupid 10 year olds we can get rid of at least.. This Week In Korean Online Gaming News: From Sudden Attack To New Bills - Duelman - 2011-06-24 That sounds pretty funny from my pov. Like a few little kids fighting over who's toy it is. It shoudn't affect you. Many online games (if not them all, IDK) require to imput the players KSSN and real info to create an account so it is not that easy to fake age in korea. @ above: A toy worth millions though. In Korea, you need to enter your KSSN in order to play. IF their system can detect how old their KSSN is, then it'll prevent them from playing. Another way to prevent them from frauding could include their parents having to enter their KSSN as well. Lolol, kNexon's going through this whole MINE phase. Multiple aquisitions, attacking banned story, now underhanded tactics like this. They let bannedstory go on for so long until now... Reminds me of EA. Just goes to show the more money a company makes the worse they get moral-wise. This Week In Korean Online Gaming News: From Sudden Attack To New Bills - byakugan - 2011-06-24 Doesn't what they are doing fall into the definition of monopoly? They have been buying all good game's developers and even some publishers. Doesn't sound fair that Nexon could ever hold 70% of the developer's market leaving aside only the unpopular ones. This Week In Korean Online Gaming News: From Sudden Attack To New Bills - ChronosXIII - 2011-06-24 Wow...never expected NexonKR to be such a bully. This Week In Korean Online Gaming News: From Sudden Attack To New Bills - Liteness - 2011-06-24 always the greedy nexon we all know eh? |
