Hello there, I'm in need of help on deciding what laptop to purchase.
I'm going to be using it for 3 years and won't be able to upgrade it, also repair will be limited so it has to be of high quality.
as for stats, needs to be able to run all the upcomming MMORPGs , atleast 4 hours of battery life , not too huge of a screen ( has to actually be portable ) , HDMI out , I'd like to be able to run 3DSMAX,Maya,PS-CS4,Messenger and Skype at the same time.
HDD space isn't important i'd rather a 120 gb SSD over a 500 gb HDD.
mainly because from what I understand SSD is more reliable.
it has to be strong enough to get me through college and run the stuff that'll come out in the next 4 years, i'm prolly gonna buy it in 3-4 months but I'm looking now to see how much money i'll need for it.
I don't mind spending alot so long as it doesn't break down after a year since I'm going to be using it daily for many hours. this thing will be my life source since it'll be what keeps me connected , entertained and where all my study material will go. ( going to be learning abroad )
so ~ please help me with this.

i just bought this and i'm really happy with it. $1000 stock, $1800 will get you an intel core i7 at 1.5ghz (2.6ghz with turboboost), with a 2GB geforce gt 540M, 8GB of ram (16gb will run you $900 more), and a 256GB SSD instead of a 750GB HDD. that swap in hard drive accounts for about $500 in price. it's netbook size, with an 11" screen, and it's extremely portable at about 5~ pounds. there's also a 14", 17", and 18" model, and of course going up in size increases the performance options.

Just make sure to get something widescreen and don't get a Dell. Get an HP or Toshiba. Alienware works too but they are pricey. You can probably get a decent laptop for about $800-1,000ish. And the HD space should be at least 250GB usually on newer ones anyways. So, you'll most likely end up with something above 150GB anyways lol.
