lvl 10+ to-be-pirates hp/mp - InTraining - 2008-10-15

So, theres lots of event quests starting soon, and I wouldn't mind my lvl 10 to-be-pirate beginner to get those quests in his quest log, but doing quests give exp, and exp lvls up characters.. My question is, will I be losing hp/mp on each lvl up as a beginner that could have been a lvl as a pirate? Eek

Well, I believe Pirates have HP increase, or something of the sort, and getting past the level 10 starting could make HP/MP lower. You'd be reimbursed the points, but not the levels with the skills. And pre-pirate quests dont have anything really to do with the adv.

If you don't advance, then you get the level-up HP/MP bonuses of a beginner for however many levels you don't advance. When you advance, you get the advancement HP/MP bonus, but you don't get the level-up HP/MP bonuses you could have gotten if you had advanced earlier.

Does that make sense? I think I worded it oddly.

Yes, all jobs jobs get more hp per level up (for warriors, thieves, bowmen, pirates) or more mp (for magicians, thieves, bowmen, ?pirates). Beginners gain less hp/mp per level up. If I were to advance my beginner at level 10 to a warrior, I would go from like ~150 hp to ~400 hp? If I were to advance my beginner at level 15 to a warrior, I woul go from ~200 hp to ~450 hp. At level 15 without improving max hp, I could probably have almost 500 hp, or even surpassing 500 hp.

Don't magicians actually get less HP than beginners per level up?

So you don't need the pirate pre-quests on your soon to be pirate lvl 10 characters?
