AP Exams 2011 - WillDaSnail - 2011-05-12

I know I was somewhat late posting the AP exam thread this year....

This is just a thread for SPers to share what AP Exams they are taking and whatnot. Of course, if you guys want, you can discuss the exams if you like! And for future AP exam test takers, feel free to ask anything and everything about AP!

Though I kindly ask that any specific details about any multiple choice questions from any AP exam not be discussed here in accordance with the rules set by AP/ETS (just playing it safe here). I'm fine with vague discussions/references to the multiple choice questions. FRQs from any AP exam can be discussed here when its appropriate (aka the "48-hour rule").

Post away!

 My AP exams for 2011

AP Exams 2011 - Corn - 2011-05-12

Took AP Calc AB & AP Biology. I'm hoping I get 5s in each.

AP Exams 2011 - Imagine - 2011-05-12

Took AP Bio and AP Stats. Aced both of them; thankfully, the AP Bio FRQ had a question about evolution and a question about cell orgenelles, so that saved my ass.

AP Exams 2011 - Smooth Criminal - 2011-05-12

Took AP Language and Composition and AP World History. Language and Composition was yesterday and was easier than I expected and prepared for, although the synthesis essay's topic was silly. I self-studied World History over the last week, took the test today, and came out pretty confident and satisfied.

AP Exams 2011 - Hazzy - 2011-05-12

I took three this year:
Comp Sci
Macro
Gov

Did not study for the last two. Macro was today. Hit the Free Response, scribbled down a crap answer and took a 40 minute nap. My score sheet's going to look like it's in binary.

AP Exams 2011 - Mira - 2011-05-12

I took AP Bio and AP Stats this year. I really don't think I did as well as people expected me to. Oh well; I tried my best, and that's the best I can do.

AP Exams 2011 - Piggy 2.0 - 2011-05-12

Took AP world history exam, and I think I did pretty well for sleeping through most of the class. Yay notes.

AP Exams 2011 - Salguod - 2011-05-12

Took Chem and US Gov't so far. Taking BC next Thursday.

MC for Chem was fine, but the short answers were not so great. For example, my teacher gave us the net ionic reaction problems as a Do now/quiz once they came out since the rest of the class take it later. I got all of them wrong (partly or completely) after I failed to recall at all what I put down for those problems... I hope I did better on the test. Probably a 4.

Gov't went okay but I think I left a lot of room for losing points, so I'm not expecting a 5.

AP Exams 2011 - WillDaSnail - 2011-05-13

For AP Calc BC: Besides the last 2 FRQs on that exam, it was not bad. Expecting a 5.

For AP Physics: -ragequit-. I'll be lucky if I get a 4.

For AP US Gov: Jesus, easiest AP exam of my life. Multiple choice was easy, essays were not too bad. Definitely expecting a 5 on that one.

For AP World History: Multiple choice was not that bad. The DBQ was easy; I demolished it within 40 minutes (very easy to find POV/additional documents and spin it in quite a few ways). Essay prompts were better than I had initially feared, but of course, since I self-studied for that class, I dunno how the graders will look at this. I'm hoping for a 5.

I would technically be done with my AP exams if my AP English Lit exam wasn't rescheduled to be taken next week...Hothead

That's the spirit! Biggrin

AP Exams 2011 - Tay - 2011-05-13

I did AP Stats. I'm confident that I got a 4, maybe a 5. At least a 3.

AP Exams 2011 - Kurtle - 2011-05-13

AP Lit:Most likely a 4, but has little value for me
AP Calc AB: Uhhhhhhh, a 3? hopefully, which won't get me anything. The free response were ridiculous since I hadn't reviewed area between two curves because we didn't get to that yet...

AP Exams 2011 - mrcowcow - 2011-05-13

AP Calculus BC -- Easy peace of cake. Finished MC and FRQ in half the time and slept through the rest.
AP United States History -- Pretty easy as well. Mixed up a few feminist people, but whatever. FRQs were okay. DBQ was seriously easy for me.
AP Physics B -- Agreeing with Will here... major ragequit. One of the hardest tests I've ever taken.
AP English Language & Composition -- For some weird reason, another teacher told his class that there weren't going to be rhetorical terms on the MC anymore while my teacher didn't tell my class. I was pretty annoyed to find out that I memorized terms for nothing. The FRQ section was fairly easy as well.\

Overall, think I did well on the AP exams other than Physics B. I hear the point cutoff is generally very generous for it though.

Same here. According to the grading scale that I got off from my AP Physics B teacher:

~63% - 5
~48% - 4
~35% - 3

AP Exams 2011 - Luacake - 2011-05-13

Physics B was hard? I thought the multiple choice was usual; it was just a few particular FRQs that were difficult. (Anyone else put "use the ruler to measure the slit"? Heh...)

Government was a breeze, I was happy that there weren't any specific laws or cases or agencies on the FRQs.

Those FRQs....Hothead

Oh dear, if you haven't reviewed area between two curves, there goes all of your rotational volume questions, not to mention cross section volumes.

AP Exams 2011 - Ladon - 2011-05-13

Meh Kinda Late but
AP Eng 4-Think I did pretty good
AP Statistics-Haha, don't want to talk about it
AP Government-Felt like this was a very easy test and did really good.
AP Economics- School didn't order enough tests for some reason (They were 4 short) So I volunteered to not take it lol. All of my friends said it was REALLY hard, and I don't need a college economics credit so it's all good.

AP Exams 2011 - Punch - 2011-05-13

AP US: Oh my god, multiple choice killed me. Essays weren't too bad, yay for bullshits

AP Bio: Mad

AP Exams 2011 - Kabanaw - 2011-05-13

AP Physics C- not that hard, it was whatever.

AP English Literature- once again, not that bad

AP Calculus BC- this was fun because the course i took was AB, so I had to learn all the BC material on my own. I think I did fine on everything except the taylor series on the last question. >.>
