Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - BitchenCamero - 2011-05-11 Like everyone, I am trying to stock up enough ores and crystals so that I can get to a lvl 10 jeweler once the profession patch comes to GMS. Can anyone from KMS tell me about how many ores/crystals you need to get to lvl 10? Thanks! Can anyone from KMS tell me about how many ores/crystals you need to get to lvl 10? We, don't know, since there is a chance for you getting higher or lower exp in said profession. There is also the factor of item crystals, and NPC items you would need. Just stock as many crystals as you can, truthfully speaking. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - BitchenCamero - 2011-05-11 ok i see. No wonder I could not find any definitive answer on the interwebs.... Thx Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - MuscleWizard - 2011-05-11 There's also a limit to how much EXP you can gain per day, from what I've heard. So you obviously won't be able to be level 10 jewelcrafting in one sitting. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - MissingLink - 2011-05-11 It doesn't sound that easy to level. From Spadow's blog: http://spadow.wordpress.com/2011/03/06/finally-i-have-level-10-jewel-crafting/#more-7248 Quote:Finally after months I have maxed out Jewel Crafting. Quote:Level 9 to 10 requires 11700 skill mastery. Ive been mining the past weeks for adamantium ores, because thats how I level up my Jewel Crafting, with adamantium plates. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - sorcererdoom - 2011-05-11 If you have the correct plates before hand then you can maximize the amount of exp you gain. Theoretically you can get 2000exp/day if you already have the 20 plates and make things that require only 1 plate each that give 100 exp. Once you hit level 4 the cheapest ore to use will be adamantium. From then on the amount of exp you get per day will start to drop. Finally at level 9 you will be getting about 72exp from each plate so about 1480exp/day. Now things that have not been taken account: - This assumes you already have all the plates. If you don't, you will have to mine for them and that will cost you fatigue. You will be looking at maybe tripling your required time. Already having all the required plates might be expensive. - Doesn't take into account items that help you heal fatigue. They were limited and expensive. - Doesn't take into account natural healing. You restore 5 fatigue every hour. So here is a tip. Right after midnight, max your fatigue. The next day at 8pm it should be back at 0. - To answer your question. Having 400 adamantium plates would be a good start. However their price will drop alot after professions have been out for a while so only do this if you are really rich. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - MrHaki - 2011-05-11 But still how do you lvl up jewel crafting does all the ores give the same random exp like 0-20 or some give 50-100 can i just stock up with 1mil of opal ores and just grind making the same jewel again and again and again and again and again (you get the point) and i will get max jewel at end of a couple of days\weeks? and what do i need Jewel ores (opal\marine\black crystal\etc) OR Plates (steel\gold\silver\etc) OR Crystals (Luk crystal\dex crystal\etc Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - Stereo - 2011-05-11 Looks like Opal ores are your best bet (2 per Opal, for 20 exp) for ore->jewel refining, at first anyway. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - Chilly - 2011-05-11 MrHaki Wrote:But still how do you lvl up jewel crafting You are confusing Mining, which include mining and refining with Jewel Crafting, which is the creation of jewelery from the refined ores/crystals. If you intend to get the best head start on Jewel Crafting you need plates and refined ores/crystals to make the jewelery and not ores (as stated previously) because refining them is a waste of energy and a contribution to your Mining skill. The things you may need or might want to account for are excellently laid out here. I would however, like to know the EXP values for each of the craftable items, but Xiger seems to already point out that they may be variable. Also, the required level for 100% craft rate is missing, that could be important too. Any help on those from anyone else? Edit: The original portion in parentheses wasn't helpful at all, it has been omitted. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - BitchenCamero - 2011-05-11 According to Spadow, you can only get the Dark Angelic Blessing Ring recipe if you get Lvl 10 jeweler status during the specific event period that coincides with the release of the profession system. Since it is such a peach to get to Lvl 10 jeweler, does it mean that it is nearly impossible to get the Dark Angelic Blessing Ring recipe before the event ends? I hope that this is not true.... Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - Chilly - 2011-05-11 MrHaki Wrote:some1 of us are confusing just need to know who XD I don't think I have it wrong; I took out the portion in parentheses in case it may have misled anyone. Corroborating sorcererdoom's explanation with Spadow's I gather that they are both referring to making the Level 70 Speed/Jump Ring. It does not require any alchemical supplies and using only one Adamantium plate it may be the easiest and possibly most economical method in raising Jewel Crafting. I'll stand by my insistence that plates are what you want to stock up on early if you want raise Jewel Crafting. Spadow likely didn't have the plates and thus required some mining of the ores then refining of the plates in preparatory steps. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - Dusk - 2011-05-11 You get roughly 100 exp for every same-level item you craft. If you're crafting something below what's possible with your crafting skill, you get a profession skill exp penalty. It's not hard to level; simply doing your daily mining and crafting to the fatigue limit will bring you to the cap easily. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - HighOnMushrooms - 2011-05-11 MrHaki Wrote:some1 of us are confusing just need to know who XD He uses the adamantium plates to make jewel crafting items, since each day you can go into this map in Meisterville where all there is are ores you can mine. It's the easiest way to get ores since they're all in one map and the 'spawn' is fast, as opposed to actual maps with mobs where there's usually only one of each ore and the 'spawn' is terrible. Getting to be a lvl 10 jeweler - MrHaki - 2011-05-11 lol if my aim is just to get to lvl 10 so i should keep making easy rings and drop them till i get to lvl 10?
