the quiet tapping sound I make when i'm typing on the keyboard. The entire house is still and quiet, and the only thing you can hear going on is my fingers madly playing with every keystroke given to them. This is why I like to type. This is why I like to type stories. This is why I like to troll certain special people affectionately Smile This is why I write extremely long pointless paragraphs that usually can be summed up in about five words or less.
This is what I like.

I like typing on my keyboard I've had for 4 years now, it's so good to be able to type everything without ever looking at the keyboard. It feels so strange to type anywhere else (specially these AZERTY keyboards which I'm, sadly, getting used to =P).
I also like that I developped my own way of typing that's not the standard one but still uses most of the fingers in my hand.

Jesus christ, it feels good to not be alone on this. I love when it's dead silent and since I type abnormally fast it's nice to hear the tiptiptiptiptaptaptaptiptip. Beautiful.

It's so just relaxing, it's an odd feeling to describe.

You should consider a piano.

as a pianist, no, not really. It's like typing the way shaving is like brushing your teeth.

Pianists dont tap :X We play musically! I can't stand hearing people with long nails making clicking sounds while playing the piano, lololol

As for the keyboard thing, back when I lived at home and did that, my mom would always come out to complain. The complaining has been ingrained in me, and now, even when I live by myself, I seem to have this habit of trying my best to type softly. That being said, I like the sound of typing as well...it makes me feel like I'm actually doing something xD

I really love the sound of my keyboards, i love both of them, as odd as that sounds.
Typing on other keyboards just feels odd.

I make a lot of noise while typing because I type like L from "Death Note" (just two fingers flying madly across the keyboard), and also with lots of force.

I can kind of type as fast as a typical person can talk if I concentrate, though I still can't type without looking at the keys...

I kept seeing the word stroke and realized that the TS would be a great erotic novelist.

Every time I type, you can literally hear:

Clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack [etc]

Especially in quiet places, people ends up looking over at me because of how fast I type. I wish I could learn to type more quietly. ; _;

90 wpm or so with mostly my index fingers = attract attention

I get the same thing every now and then. People ask me how I learned to type so fast. I usually respond with "I don't know." because I really don't know, or joke that it came from "online gaming" or something. Out of curiosity, do you type slow when you don't know what you're going to type and make it up as you go along? For me, I'm only really fast when I type something simple, copying down stuff, or really know what I'm going to type. When it comes to typing up thesis papers or want to communicate more complicated ideas, it takes me longer to type because I'm forming the sentences and phrasing things as I type.

Yes, of course. When I'm posting on here or doing blogs, I usually 'already' know what I want to say, so I just read it in my head as I type. Fastest I've typed was up to 105 wpm, I think. I never got past 110, I know that much. Once again, I don't type normally. I use my index fingers to do most of the typing. Literally 'pecking' away at the keys.

Whenever I type up papers, I end up typing anywhere from 50-60, because I have to think as I type, I can't really just type up whatever. It has to be logical for the person that's reading it, that's the hardest part for me. Sometimes, when I type papers, I go all over the place by accident.

I like the sound of my nails clacking on the keyboard.

You're equating apples and oranges here. The tapping on a computer keyboard doesn't come from the nails hitting the keys, it comes from the keys hitting the plastic underneath. Typing on a computer keyboard and playing the piano are essentially the same mechanisms. Your fingers press the buttons.

Playing a piano is just much more meaningful. An appropriate analogy is singing vs. talking.
