Facebook sends your information to CIA - Satellite - 2011-05-06 This is why I don't have a facebook. Bit scared cause I have gmail though... EDIT: This thread was moved by a moderator. I know that this topic is NOT "current event", even though the second video could probably be. The first video is posted 2007, that is not new. So, don't flame me for "old news". Facebook sends your information to CIA - Kalovale - 2011-05-06 So what's wrong with having your info exposed to the CIA? Pretty much. Facebook sends your information to CIA - Takebacker - 2011-05-11 It's getting to the point where if you don't have a FB you're seen as a weird-o. (F'uck those people) The CIA is never going to be interested in me anyway. Facebook distributing what is already public domain isn't a big deal. The part about where facebook owns the images and photos you upload, and that are uploaded by others that have you in them, is a reason I'm deleting mine. Facebook sends your information to CIA - Takebacker - 2011-05-11 That clause is in like every site for uploaded content, isn't it? Just like how Nexon reserves to the right to end services whenever they want blah blah blah. Here's the actual citation, Nexon Wrote:We reserve the right to remove or modify any content you provide to us or otherwise post on the Site at our sole discretion and without prior notice or any liability to you. Facebook sends your information to CIA - Dual - 2011-05-11 I don't have a facebook. Facebook sends your information to CIA - Satellite - 2011-05-11 LashhxD Wrote:Scared? And what exactly do you propose to stop it? This is unavoidable as technology advances. No point complaining about it. (by the way toll booths already report suspicious speeding. If you pass a toll and then pass another one significantly faster than you should have, you're reported) Facebook sends your information to CIA - Flonne - 2011-05-11 I agree that it's extremely invasive, but the sad thing is they already know 100% of that information and more. They know more about every person in this country than the people knows about themselves. Sure, all of the information is in a supermassive database that would be impossible to browse normally, but if they want your information and know your name, they already have it. As long as they don't start abusing it (IE, randomly searching and arresting people without a warrant or reason), I'm actually fine with it, they need the information, gathering data can be a long process that they won't always have when trying to apprehend a criminal.
