Hello, friends. - FelixTM - 2011-05-03 Hey guys. How is everyone? I'm posting here to see if y'all would be interested in playing a game with your fellow Southperrians (and me!) this summer. We didn't do anything last year, which is disappointing. I've been thinking about it a lot during work lately, and I really wanna do another writing/choose-your-own-ending type adventure. Largely an excuse to flesh out an idea I've been thinking about, but mainly to get the community involved in something fun on the site again. My idea is nothing like my first story (two years ago). While that was a lot of fun and had amazing involvement from the community, it was ill-fated and suffered from many problems (on my part). This round will be much more like an "adventure" and contain many more elements that stay true to choose-your-own-ending stories and those exploration/escape from at-first unknown situation games. If you know what I'm talking about. lol Anyway, blah blah blah. - Planning story/game for everyone to take part in in The Shady Tree. - Gonna write a short part and then give you a few choices for what should happen next. - The community casts their vote, first to five (or whatever) gets picked. - I continue the story, never knowing what direction it will head. - Branching paths (DEAD ENDS) will be a major feature of this adventure. - This time around an "Inventory" will be a factor, too. I'll keep track of all items that come into the main character's possession during the story (detailing them at the end of every entry). What items you acquire can affect the story in various ways. - Probably (most likely) you'll be able to get other characters to join you. - Genre is gonna be suspense/mystery for the most part, with elements of drama, surrealism and horror. - I dunno, lots of stuff. Just wanna have some fun. So, any interest? I'll probably get it up and rolling tonight (or tomorrow for sure). Would be pleased if lots of people are willing to read, play and participate. Basically, whatever point it's at near the end of the season/beginning of autumn that will work good for moving to an ending phase is when it will end. --- It did die off.
