One of the player's in here is Zelgadis, he's this really experienced Fox player in SSBM that Shines.. a lot. <_< Anyways, in SSBB, he apparently plays DeDeDe now.. I've played SSBB AND SSBM, I still prefer Melee over Brawl.. but here's what happens when pro SSBM players plays Brawl, I thought it was really nice:

Oh, I've been retired from SSBM for a year now, but are there still Smashfests around the states? =( The last tourney I went to was a Smashfest in the local community center, and I did well, but I didn't get to 3rd, 2nd, or 1st place or anything. >_> -Fox player- Jajaja, I Shine-hoar~.

Zelgadis, always was my Hero when it came to melee...

Shined blind had such good music he made also =] Not bad video. I'm more in love with brawl since I don't play competitivly

I'm surprised nobody showed Wario's potencial. Specially with his wtp factor: lots of possibilities.

People usually prefer characters with broken combos.

Like how Dedede can chain grab like a freaking madman.

I'm pretty OK at Brawl, myself. There was a thread about it a while back 'round here, and I think I only ended up playing one person. But it was lame, because if I recall, he had like one single tactic and used it over and over and over, which forced me into a similar responsive playstyle and it made things really boring and stupid. If there's something I hate as much as broken or nonsensical glitch abuse (why is it that holding a mortar out would remove the friction between your feet and the floor), it's using the same tactic over and over and over.

My friend code is 4038-5674-6863. IM me some time and we can go at it.

Out of curiosity, did you play SSBM as well? Not sure if you have, but I think certain skills were spammed a lot more frequently than Brawl in competitive tournaments.

I spam Wave-Shine pretty often myself, when I used Fox as a primary character in Melee. I won't lie, but if the strategy stopped working, I'd immediately switch to something else. I didn't win all matches, but I won quite a fair of them. I loved competitive matches, personally. xD

Too bad I don't play Brawl. <_<;

I did play Melee, but I wasn't a part of the competitive group. Even with Brawl, I wouldn't say I'm at all connected to the "competitive" crowd.

And yeah, I know pumpernickel was just flat out retarded in Melee. It still throws me every time I consider that people were actually MAD that Nintendo went out of their way to remove heavily abused glitches present in Melee. Then as soon as similar tactics were discovered for Brawl people hopped on it and started abusing the pineapple out of them.

Like really, when I play against someone as Snake and he slides from one side of the stage to the other, it's not so much the unfair advantage this might give him that gets to me so much as the fact that it makes no sense at all. After all, there are plenty of characters with inherent properties which give a much heavier advantage than simply being able to slide while charging an up smash. Have you ever seen a Samus player who has good mastery of aerial tether attacks?

Meh. Winning isn't everything. I'd rather have fun in a match and lose to someone who has a strong command of the character, than win a match by spamming annoying combos or abusing illogical glitches.

I'm up for it, but right now, I have my Wii stored back, and busy. Whenever I put it on the TV again I'll try.
